Purchased this game recently and around level 30-31 whenever I try to load anything or complete an action (i.e. drop item, go to item list, equip, change apparel, etc) it now takes about 30 seconds to do, played great until 2 days ago, thought this could be short term glitch but it plays normal speed but trying to swap stuff equip etc is now a chore, not really worth playing now. Cache has been cleared and other games play at normal, character is archer, level 32, any ideas thanksVery slow loading on xbox360 skyrim game?
Both of the other answers are correct. One thing you can do to (partial) remedy this is in the settings screen. Hit the start button and go to system settings. From there you can adjust when the game saves. It is possible that you have it set to save every 5 minutes and that can happen more often than one would think.Very slow loading on xbox360 skyrim game?
Sadly this is an ongoing issue with large save files on both the XBOX 360 and the PS3 versions of the game.
Both microsoft and sony are working through the bugs and will hopefully have a working patch by January.
I would recommend NOT downloading the patches release for XBOX: Skyrim Patch 1.3, not only does this not fix the problem, it also adds more problems like backwards flying dragons and massive texture glitches.
Keep it real, and try and make it out of Tamriel in one piece.Very slow loading on xbox360 skyrim game?

How to play skyrim without xbox live?
I was playing skyrim on xbox live, but I was wondering if I could play without it. I was playing the game without xbox live, but when it comes to saving it won't let me because im not signed in!!
please help! How to play skyrim without xbox live?
When you save a game it needs to be tied to a Profile, that profile can be either online or offline. What you are trying to do on Xbox is similar to you trying to ask your question in Yahoo without logging on first. Sign in to a profile first, then save. How to play skyrim without xbox live?
You can still sign your profile in without being connected to live.If it's a Live account just sign in and it will say can't connect or not connected to xbox live.you can still play off line .I play Skyrim offline all the time.I have an older xbox that doesn't have built in Wi-Fi so i have to use a ethernet cord so sometimes i don't bother connecting cord. The only thing about offline you won't get the updates when they come out.

Do I need to play all the elder scrolls games to understand skyrim?
My boyfriend LOVES skyrim and the other games and I want to buy skyrim and learn to play so I can show him I respect what he's into. But will I understand without buying an playing the others???Do I need to play all the elder scrolls games to understand skyrim?
Of course. Skyrim is a stand alone game, although you'll miss easter eggs and some challenges may seem harder if you have no Elder Scrolls experience because you won't know how Bethesda thinks..cb radio mike geary

Should I get skyrim is it a good game what is it about and if i do should i play first person or third?
Yes, get it.
It's a fantasy RPG (swords, magic, dragons)
You can play either way. With enemies that move around a lot, I will pop into third-person to be able to change facing to them fast enough. Or to see what new gear looks like. Switching from first- to third-person can be done at any time (except during conversations) with an R3 click (PS3).
edit: I've been playing at least 4-6 hours every day since it came out, and I keep finding new quests.Should I get skyrim is it a good game what is it about and if i do should i play first person or third?
It's an amazing game I have over 40+ hours and I havent started the "main" quest.

I use a 1GB MSI GTX560Ti Hawk edition graphics card and it can play Skyrim at Ultra High with a resolution of 1920x1200 and a FPS rate of 90 to 110. These are the automatic settings for the game.
So you should aim for a GTX560Ti or a HD6970 as minimum.
Unfortunately, you're not going to get any where for Ultra High settings for under $100. Unless you look for secondhand. I have tested Skyrim with a GTX260 Black Edition from XFX on Ultra Settings, but only running a resolution of 1280x1024 while only obtaining between 50 and 65 fps.
It is dependent on the resolution in which you will be playing based on the LCD/LED display that you have for your system.Need a graphics card that will let me play skyrim on ultra high?
an nvidia 480 can always be found a right price just try to do some research on nividias in that era like 460 470 480 or like 550

me and my girlfriend had tons of fun with littlebig planet. not a big story on it but plenty of things and levels to do
zelda skyward sword is amazing too but (as almost every zelda games) its singleplayer
the batman arkham city is awesome too but single player again
you might want to try portal 2. i haven't but i loved the 1st one and the 2nd is multiplayerMy girlfriend and I wanna play a fun video game. We have a ps3 and a Wii. Any suggestions?
I would suggest portal 2 since it's split screen and it could be really fun to figure out the puzzles with your girl.My girlfriend and I wanna play a fun video game. We have a ps3 and a Wii. Any suggestions?

Should I start all over in my skyrim game?
Well I have gotten semi-far as a warrior archer in skyrim and I was thinking about restarting. I am only level 7 after all but I am still hesitant, I have gotten up to the point where you learn your first shout and I already found another in a different mission, but now I really want to do a mage play trough so should I restart my game or not?Should I start all over in my skyrim game?
I started out as a breton and got to level 34 before wanting a different play through. I made a thief/assassin type and replayed doing the opposite of what I did with my mage. I'd keep your warrior and make a save as a mage, that way you can always switch back.
You don't have to start over, the max character level is 81 so thats 80 skill points you have to build your character. You can be both a mage and an archer. I'd recommend Conjuration so you can sit back and launch arrows while your minions do the dirty work. I'd also do Destruction so you can sit back and torch em as well. Don't put any points into lockpicking at all, you eventually get an unbreakable lockpick called 'skeleton key' that makes all those lockpicking skills useless. Choose 1 armor class to use Light or Heavy and don't put any points into the other. As for the rest I'll let you decide.Should I start all over in my skyrim game?
No need.
You didn't say where you spent your perks. Did you spend them on archery? Sneaking? One-handed weaponry?
Whichever the case, don't worry about it.
1) Some archer skills can still be useful for a mage. If you want to be stealthing along in dungeons, your bow is going to see a lot of use for long-range attacks due to the triple damage bow perk in Sneak.
If you really want to get back the points you spent on perks though:
2) You can also use the console to reset your perks.
Hit the tilde key (~) next to number 1 key to open the console.
Then 'reset' your character by removing the unwanted perks, typing:
player.removeperk perkcode
where "perkcode" is the index number for the perks you have.
Then type:
player.addperk perkcode
to add the perks for mage that you wanted. Count the number of perks you removed and match to what you're adding so that it's still balanced (unless, of course, you wish to cheat. :) ).
To view the index numbers for each perk, check out:

On my original save file I'm a level 34 Imperial warrior specializing in one-handed weapons, heavy armor, smithing, lockpicking and restoration magic. Now I started a new file to play as a khajiit who specializes in stealth, light armor, archery, lockpicking and all kinds of magic with one-handed weapons thrown in as a backup since I'm not that good at archery. xDShould I start all over in my skyrim game?
If your only that far into the game and your only level 7 you have plenty of time to still become a Mage silly noob.
your not that far so yea
but
archer is way more effective than mage cause in mage you got to look at magika as well as health
while
in archer u dont need magikaauto auction what is research

Which of the following video games should I play until Skyrim?
My preferences are...
Assassin's Creed
The Witcher 2 (or part one, not sure yet)
Dragon Age
So which one should I play and do you have any suggestions that I can try out until Skyrim is released? Thanks a bunch in advance! ;-)Which of the following video games should I play until Skyrim?
Assassins Creed or Dragon Age will keep you busy enough especially Dragon Age because there are many choices depending on what you do/what path you choose so its got high replayability im waiting for Skyrim as well and so far ive occupied my time with
Assassins Creed Brotherhood,Dragon Age Origins, Metal Gear Solid IV, and an mmorpg

Dragon Age has a pretty good amount of mods.
Also Oblivion with the Nehrim overhaul might give you a good amount of playtime before Skyrim is out.Which of the following video games should I play until Skyrim?

Would I be able to play Skyrim if I only meet the minimum requirements?
I just checked the minimum requirements, and I'm barely scraping by. I would really like to play Skyrim, but am I better playing something smaller instead of not getting everything out of the game?
I have:
XP, Intel Core2 Duo, 2.40Ghz 2.39Ghz, 3GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8400M 512 MB.
What do you think?
Any other games suggested that I can play with this configuration?Would I be able to play Skyrim if I only meet the minimum requirements?

What is the hit new video game, Skyrim?
I have been hearing good reviews about this popular new game and it has achieved game of the year. Amazing Right! I'm new to the Elders Scroll series and I never played a Role Play game ever. All i want to know is what is about, how long is it, what's so great about it, and is it worth getting for a person that never played the series? Is it also addicting? Help me out here guys. What is the hit new video game, Skyrim?
It is fun and very addicting.
you must get Modern Warfare 3! it is the best game ever! What is the hit new video game, Skyrim?
I bought Skyrim the day it came out. I was then able to convice about fifteen of my friends who had never heard of it to buy it as well. So far I've logged about 100 hours of gameplay, but Bethesda(who made the game) said that a person could expect up to 500 total hour of gameplay! Its a great game because it allows the player to do virtually anything, from chopping wood to forging armor and weapons, this game is intended to give the player free reign. The nice thing about the Elder Scrolls series of games, is that you can pick up any of the games without having gone through any of the earlier ones. I've recently taken a reprieve from Skyrim and told my dad he should play, he now has over 30 hours of gameplay. So yah, its addicting! With the audio, graphics, story, and combat, Skyrim has to be one of the best games released to date.
Skyrim (like all Elder Scrolls games) is very open. You could easily spend over 200 hours on it, or you could complete the main questline in less than fifteen and stop. The qualities that make it GOTY material are the amazing fighting system, easily customizable characters, overly generous graphics, intriguing storylines, and secrets to find EVERYWHERE. You play as a jailbreak in the viking-esque land of Skyrim, identity unknown until you create it. It is definitely worth getting. And yes... It is dangerously addicting. What is the hit new video game, Skyrim?
Definitely worth getting, its very addicting and open world ive been playing for about 150 hours and havent even touched the main quest.
It's the RPG Grand Theft Auto Sanandreas, just put it that way.
The nonlinear gameplay traditional in the Elder Scrolls series is incorporated in Skyrim.[8] The player can explore the open world of Skyrim on foot or on horseback, and fast-travel to cities, towns and dungeons after they have been discovered.[9] Quests are given to the player by non-player characters (NPCs) in the world, and through the Radiant Story system, the quests can be dynamically altered to accommodate for player actions which may influence the quest's characters and objectives. The Radiant Story system further directs the player's interaction with the world by setting unexplored dungeons as quest locations.[10] When not completing quests, the player can interact with NPCs through conversation, and they may request favors or training in skills from the player.[11] In addition to scripted quests certain ones will be dynamically generated, providing a limitless number to the player.[8] Some NPCs can become companions to the player to aid in combat.[12] The player may choose to join factions, which are organized groups of NPCs such as the Dark Brotherhood, a band of assassins.[13] Each of the factions has a headquarters, and they have their own quest paths which the player can progress through. The economy of cities and towns can be stimulated by completing jobs such as farming and mining, or harmed by sabotaging industrial buildings.[14]
Character development is a primary element of Skyrim. At the beginning of the game, the player selects one of several human, elven, or zoomorphic human races, each of which has different natural abilities, and customizes their character's appearance.[15] A perpetual objective for the player is to improve their character's skills, which are numerical representations of their ability in certain areas. There are eighteen skills divided evenly between the three schools of combat, magic and stealth. Training skills until the necessary required experience is met results in the player's character leveling-up. Previous Elder Scrolls games made use of a class system to determine which skills would contribute to the character's leveling, but its removal in Skyrim allows for a preferred play-style to be developed naturally.[10][16] When their character levels, the player may choose to select a skill-specific ability called a perk, or store perks for later use. Upon levelling fifty times, the player character can continue to level and earn perks, but the rate of levelling is slowed significantly.[17]dragon age console new album releases

Should I play the previous Elder Scrolls games before Skyrim?
I never played anything from the series since I'm not much into fantasy RPGs, but I keep hearing about Skyrim and how awesome that game is. That's why I considered trying it out. Should I get, say, Oblivion or any previous games first, or can I already jump right into Skyrim?Should I play the previous Elder Scrolls games before Skyrim?
You don't need to play any other of the Elder Scrolls Game to play Skyrim. There are any subtle references to previous games in the series in Skyrim but they have nothing to do with the story or missions. It just like you may hear someone say
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Features
Skyrim reimagines the open-world fantasy epic, pushing the game play and technology of a virtual world to new heights
Play any type of character you can imagine, and do whatever you want; the legendary freedom of choice, storytelling
Skyrim's new game engine brings to life a complete virtual world with rolling clouds, rugged mountains and ancient dungeons
Choose from hundreds of weapons, spells, and abilities; the new character system allows you to play any way you wantShould I play the previous Elder Scrolls games before Skyrim?
You will not need to play the previous ones to understand what's going on. To get a better grasp on the story/lore it wouldn't hurt to play Oblivion/Morrowind, but again, each game takes place in it's own "land" separate of the other games, though the stories/events from every game are reasonably connected to each other. However Skyrim takes place in a different land and about 200 years after Oblivion so....
Skyrim is fun, and I've never played any other TES games, but if you don't like RPGs don't expect to be blown away just because people say it's great. It IS a great game, but if it's not your thing...it's not your thing lol. So it's up to you. You could probably get Oblivion and save a couple bucks if you don't like it, but I've never played it so i can't compare.Should I play the previous Elder Scrolls games before Skyrim?
You don't need to play the the other ones to understand the game. It's a pretty easy universe to get into. They write each of them so that they are independent storylines, that way you can jump into the series wherever you like.
jump into skyrim the games aren't really linked and the amount of time it will take to complete oblivion won't be worth it in my opinion + everyone is playing skyrim now
Nope, but play oblivion after you beat skyrim because it's really fun.
Each game has it's own story line, they aren't connected

Adept difficulty is the default difficulty. So I see no shame there... Perhaps when you make a new character you can increase the difficulty if you like. Besides, who's gonna know if you change the difficulty??

How to recover Skyrim saved game?
I was playing Skyrim 2 days ago and all my saved games were there. Today when I tried playing, all my data was gone. Apparently, my Windows 7 didn't download correctly and is a piece of sh*t so everything I have in my saved games are gone. Please help me. I have about 70 hrs in the game and it would really suck to have to get everything back again. This is on PCHow to recover Skyrim saved game?
Go to C:\Users\{User name}\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves. If the folder still exists your save files should be in there. The skyrim save files have an extension of *.ess. If they are there copy them to another folder and delete the initial folder. Then uninstall the game, reinstall it and create a new game. Save it and quit the game. Copy your saves into the folder provided above. How to recover Skyrim saved game?
I'm not sure exactly what u did. U say your Windows install was faulty...did u re-install Windows? If so, your saves will be archived to another directory in the Documents and Settings folder...(something like "YOUR USER NAME.old" maybe).
Browse those backup directories and copy over the saves to your "C:\users\YOUR USER NAME\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves\" folder.
If u cannot find any of the saves, try checking the "Recycle Bin". If they got deleted somehow, they may have been saved there.

Do you have to play the previous Elder Scrolls to understand Skyrim?
I'm thinking about buying Skyrim but haven't played the previous games. Is Skyrim a standalone game?Do you have to play the previous Elder Scrolls to understand Skyrim?
I was concerned myself. I noticed all the hype around this game, and I decided to buy it. I haven't played any other Elder Scrolls games, so I thought I would be all confused. But trust me, you will feel VERY comfortable once you get the feel for the controls and game play. I can't believe how good this game is. Great story, awesome character creation options, and all the paths you can take! I absolutely love the game and I'm planning on playing it for quite a while XD.
Also, I did a LITTLE research before buying the game and it seems each game is a different storyline some 200-300 years apart. I don't know if maybe some references are interconnected with past titles, but if so it wont effect you much. Hope you enjoy Skyrim as much as I do!
-MedicDo you have to play the previous Elder Scrolls to understand Skyrim?
Each Elder Scrolls game takes place a few hundred years after the other so the settings and history are what connect them not the story. Each one will also contain plenty of lore about not only events of the previous games but the history of the entire TES series. So go pick it up, you dont have to know anything about the other games and if you want to it will teach you and its an amazing game.Do you have to play the previous Elder Scrolls to understand Skyrim?
No, it is a 200 year away and is based on a whole new complete story. But, things like "Imperial guards" and more are from the previous ones, although it is very minor.
no

Why cant my computer play Skyrim?
I have a Asus Laptop / Intel Core i3 Processor / 14" Display / 4GB Memory - Black UL80J-BBK5". Can you run it said that I can play Skyrim but the game will barely run. The framerate is constantly very choppy even on low quality settings. What can I do to make the game run better? Why cant my computer play Skyrim?
Your laptop simply isn't capable of running that game, even if canyourunit says it is.
If you want to play skyrim on PC, get a good gaming notebook or decent gaming desktop. You can't upgrade your laptop to make it run skyrim. Why cant my computer play Skyrim?
Get a new laptop and DO NOT rely on crappy sites like canyourunit, which is horrid way to gauge it. You're stuck with crappy integrated graphics. There is nothing you can do short of a new laptop to play it well. Why cant my computer play Skyrim?
First of all what is your video card? That could be the problem, lower the settings. Also your processor might not be able to keep up with the settings you have, so lowering them might fix this!
Your computer needs a hammer upgrade. Bash with hammer and it should play skyrim at full settings.

Do I need the previous Elder Scrolls games in order to play Skyrim?
I am interested in getting the Skyrim game. After hanging out with some friends, I got to see the game and I am extremely intrigued by it. From what I understand, there were several games from the Elder Scrolls series that came before, such as Morrowwind and Oblivion.
My questions are as follows:
-Do I need to play the previous games in order to enjoy Skyrim?
-If I do not "need" to play the previous games, is it recommended at the very least? Or are the games stand alones?
-Does anyone know if the PC version is worth playing, or is the XBOX version the only worthwhile way to play?Do I need the previous Elder Scrolls games in order to play Skyrim?
Well, I played from Morrowind through Skyrim. I have almost 16 hours of gameplay on Skyrim already and nothing even minor has appeared in Skyrim branched from previous games. Bethesda (the games creator) has a good mind about not making games dependent on themselves. Unless you are truly nerdy and want to know everything about the Elder Scrolls, you won't miss out on anything if you just start at Skyrim.
*Although they do mention a place called Tamriel a lot. If you hear Tamriel, it is basically the continent Skyrim is on. Imagine Tamriel the U.S. and Skyrim a state, if you will.
1) no
2) It's not recommended, but they are good games to play anyway..
3) PC is probably better, but I have it on the PS3 and it's really good. Xbox is definitely not the only "worthwhile" way to play.Do I need the previous Elder Scrolls games in order to play Skyrim?
As far as I know they are more stand alones. I havent played any of the other Elder Scrolls but have been told that I HAVE to play Skyrim. And what do you mean if the PC version is worth playing? They should be all the same game, 360, PC, or PS3.
No you don't have to play the others to enjoy skyrim. I've only played morrowind i'm thinking of getting Skyrim on pc soon it looks like a good game.Do I need the previous Elder Scrolls games in order to play Skyrim?
You dont NEED to know about the last games but you might get lost with all the Lore. also, xbox is more platform friendly but if you are into mods (which are really cool) then pc is for you.
no its not compulsory but it is good to have SOME knowledge of the history and personally i like the PC ver
Nope.

Nope.
Really enjoyed oblivion, looking for a similar game to play while waiting on Skyrim, any ideas?
I just finished Two world 2, I think for that price they should have gotten rid of all the glitches, also, the ending was disappointing, don't want to say more or I'll spoil it for others. Played all the mass effect games, can't wait for 3. I didn't really enjoy dragon age because of the game play, so I'll pass on DA2, I've played all the kotor games, and borderlands isn't something I'd like to play. I don't like to play games that are completely 'dark' I tend to be the goody-goody and want to play games that have a distinct good side, where the choice is clear. I also like to play as a woman and not a man. I have all the systems, but prefer xbox 360. Hope I can find one with all those spec's. May have to settle, lol. Open to ideas. thanks for your help.Really enjoyed oblivion, looking for a similar game to play while waiting on Skyrim, any ideas?
If you like Buena Vista's Oblivion, then I would definitely pick up Fallout 3 if you haven't already. New Vegas is good, if you can work through the glitches and freezes.
Dragon Age II is actually set up a lot more like Mass Effect II, they have completely revamped the game from it's original, and it plays A LOT better. I definitely would look into downloading the free Demo on xboxlive market place if you have access.
Other good open world quest games are Assassin's Creed II: Brotherhood, Borderlands, Fable III, and Prototype. That's really all I can think of at the top of my head at the moment. :P
Get "Nehrim" It uses the same system as Oblivion. And it's a totally free game.
Although it uses the Oblivion resources, it has nothing to do with Oblivion (other than it being in the same genre of games). It is a totally new story, totally new landscape. Very well done in my opinion.

try fallout 3. it's by the creators of oblivion, so it's the same idea and does have a karma system. the battle system as been tweaked a little, but i think it's for the better. of course, since it's set in the post-apocalyptic future you're usually using guns instead of bows and swords.

How to I transfer a saves game from one Xbox to another?
I had played skyrim on another Xbox and have recently gotten my own xbox. I don't want to have to restart my entire game so is there any way to get my saved skyrim game from the Xbox at my friends to the one at my house? We have used the USB drive but when I go to play the game it doesn't give me the option to load. Please help! How to I transfer a saves game from one Xbox to another?
were you playing the game on YOUR PROFILE/GAMERTAG? because if you didn't have one and was using your friends, you need to start over , as game saves are licensed to one profile account/gamertag , and can not be used/transfered to another.
THIS IS GUARANTEED TO WORK WITH OR WITHOUT A USB. This is so easy man the same thing happened to me but thank god microsoft did this in the recent update and you don't even need the usb. Go to your friends house and make sure your on you account . (It should be something like this) Now go to system settings %26gt; memory%26gt;hard drive %26gt;skyrim. You should see your saved games there and now go on the saves you want then goto move then move them to cloud storage. Its this free service that is pretty much a limited ammount of memort over xbox live .(*Note you will need to enable cloud storage on your xbox and your friends xbox its free and it works). Then you go home enable cloud storage on your xbox and can go to cloud storage and move the file to your hard drive out keep them in cloud. THIS WILL ONLTY WORK IF BOTH PEOPLE ARE CONNECTED TO XBOX LIVE!!!How to I transfer a saves game from one Xbox to another?
Get on the xbox your saved game is on. Find your saved game and click copy. It will say hard drive and cloud server. Save it to there. Then when you go home and recover gamertag you can download it to your xbox.
You have to have xbox live.
Or just save it to a flash drive.
Maybe your USB drive doesn't meet Xbox 360 performance recommendations or is not compatible to your Xbox 360. You can try using the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Cable. How to I transfer a saves game from one Xbox to another?

Do you get used to PC controls for Skyrim game?
I just started to play this game on my pc tonight and really struggling t get used to the movent controls. I am used to playing WOW where I can run etc with mouse or arrow keys. Is this something i get used to? At the moment the whole camera angle and movent is a real pain.Do you get used to PC controls for Skyrim game?
I haven't actually played Skyrim yet but I heard the same thing. Apparently you can remap the keys to work the way you want them too in the options.

I don't think you can move you're character with a mouse alone. Maybe someone would make a mod like that. But anyway you can change to controls rebind keys and stuff. Though there's an auto-move function in Skyrim. Its default button is C.

Can a Sony Optiarc DVD RW AD-7200s play Skyrim or any other modern computer game.?
i have a sony Optiarc 7200s and was wondering if it read modern game disks. the older games i have are the original Oblivion/Fallout(3 and New Vegas)/ and Starwars Empire at war. but recently i purchased the game The Witcher 2 and i receive an error message stating "Error-- Data error(cyclic redundancy check) im not entirely sure this is a case with just this one game or its gonna be something that appears in all new games. Can a Sony Optiarc DVD RW AD-7200s play Skyrim or any other modern computer game.?
It's a problem with your Disk, any DVD reader can read DVD's, which games are packed in.
But sometimes Games use higher quality disks that are not compatible with certain DVD readers.

I want to get a game to play over the holidays is skyrim a good one or will I get bored of it?
I doubt if u will get bored in just a month.
I have spent about 80 hours since I got it (almost a month ago). I just completed the main quest last night. Of course I have done a lot of side quests and exploring too. I don't even think I have done a quarter of what's available in the game though.
Killing a lot of dragons can be tedious (just like closing Oblivion gates was in Oblivion). But at least u can keep killing them after u kill the big bad one from the main quest.I want to get a game to play over the holidays is skyrim a good one or will I get bored of it?
Like every game ever made you will get bored of it. Its just a matter of how many hours it will take you to reach that point. Im about 125 hours into it and im a little bored. It also depends on how many hours a night you plan to spend on it. With 4-5 hours a night it should last you a month if you wanna get 90% of the achievements and maybe a little longer if you wanna get them all. I recomend this game to anyone that has played any previous TES game or Fallout. Regardless getting to the max level takes some dedication and the limited number of perks make it so you need more than 1 guy to test out every tree. I would buy it if i were you.

Can I play Skyrim on Xbox 360 Arcade?
I was thinking of buying an Xbox 360 Arcade and upgrade it with a new 120 GB hard drive disk and Cooling stand for Xbox 360 Blue LEDs with 3 Fans, and Im wondering can I play games like Skyrim on Xbox 360 Arcade with all that? I would buy an Elite but it just costs to much. Can I play Skyrim on Xbox 360 Arcade?
yes its not very powerful but you can play it on that cus its still a 360 :)Can I play Skyrim on Xbox 360 Arcade?
All Xbox 360s are the same, there is no difference in processing power between models.
(Please answer with accuracy and do not post lies kids...)
The only difference is amount of available memory for storage, the Arcade comes with 4GB built in other Xboxs have more, the high end one has 250GB.
This question is not well thought out, of course you can play xbox game on your xbox.
Durr. Can I play Skyrim on Xbox 360 Arcade?
You can play it on ANY xbox 360 controller. they are all the same except the new slim consoles.
The only difference between arcade/elite is what comes with it ie: headset, controllers, leads etc...
Aslong as you have an hard drive then its all ok to play. This is only needed to save games, a USB will be ok insteadvance and hines applebees application

Yes it'll be great. Try Newegg for better prices though. You might be able to squeeze in a better processor build like an Intel Core i5 2400 + mobo for the same price
You don't need a 750 watt PSU. I'd just look for an Antec 600-650 watt PSU for around $70-75. You should be able to find the 560 GTX Ti for close to $225 also, and the 8 GB of RAM for maybe $50

How to play this disc game w/out a disc drive?
There is this old game called Elder Scrolls Adventures Redguard, but it's a disc based game. It requires the disc to be in the disc drive to play it. Well, how do I put this on a flash drive? I see people at my school doing it, but I'm very ignorant when it comes to laptops and computers. Can someone explain this to me step-by-step?

Can i still play Skyrim without playing the other Eldar scrolls?
Never played any other game before it. Can I play skyrim and still understand whats going on or do I need to play the other games in order to understand the storyCan i still play Skyrim without playing the other Eldar scrolls?
Yes, I did the same thing. Played Skyrim, beat it (took 80 hours) and then moved on to Oblivion and Morrowind. You don't need to play one game to understand the storyline of an other, while they all have common elements, (Same kingdoms, races, even secret brotherhoods and guilds) it's a different storyline. Unfortunately I can't play TES anymore... I took an arrow to the knee.
The stories aren't linked and there isn't much mention of the past Elder Scrolls games. However there are the odd bits of dialogue and in game books that only someone who has played the previous games will be able to relate to.Can i still play Skyrim without playing the other Eldar scrolls?

Anybody with a Skyrim game save for the PC?
I have been playing Skyrim for a few days and i am up to the quest Season Unending, for some reason i am sat down at the table and there must be a bug as no one is talking.. and i cant stand up!!! Just wondering if anyone could give me a game save that could get me a little further than this as i don't want to start the whole main quest line again, thanks in advance.Anybody with a Skyrim game save for the PC?
There are several bugs with that quest.
Go here:

Worst case scenario is that u will need to advance the quest artificially by using the command console.

Should You Play a PC Game With Only Minimal Requirements?
I checked, and my computer only has the minimal requirements to play Skyrim. Actually, everything meets the recommended requirements except my video card. I can't upgrade it at the moment, so do you think I should bother with buying and playing the game or not? I just don't want to end up having wasted 60 dollars on something I can't even play.Should You Play a PC Game With Only Minimal Requirements?
If you only have the minimum recommended video card, it probably will not play that well

Could two people play Skyrim (PC) at the same time from the same disc?
I've never bought a steam game before for PC, so i'm not 100% on how it works, but me and my sister were planning on splitting the cost to buy Skyrim. We both want to be able to play it on our laptops, and if steam is anything like origin, I know that one could play the disc version while the other could play the digital version.
Would we be able to play the game on our own computers?Could two people play Skyrim (PC) at the same time from the same disc?
i do know that with a normal disc version you could start the game, and remove the disc, and the game would keep running, but with steam, I'm not so sure.
if one of you started steam in offline mode perhaps? (disconnect internet before starting steam)?

I played skyrim for about 10 min and I hate it I want to take it back now but I didn't buy the worrenty. How much would EB games take it for???How much would EB games take my skyrim game for?
if you brought it less than 7 days ago you can return it for a full refund but if not probably 20-30 bucks youre gonna get ripped off just sell it insteadHow much would EB games take my skyrim game for?
I dont think it would be wise to sell back your game to EB Games. I tried to sell back my brand new Wii and they offered $25. Try using Amazon or EBay. You can make a good $50. If you're unfamiliar with how selling things on Amazon and EBay works then check out these guides.

But id say, once the guy/girl at the shop stops laughing at you theyl prob offer $20/25.... then carry on laughing.
Way to give it a chance. They'll probably give you around $20.
if you brought it less than 7 days ago you can return it for a full refund but if not probably 20-30 bucks youre gonna get ripped off just sell it insteadHow much would EB games take my skyrim game for?
I dont think it would be wise to sell back your game to EB Games. I tried to sell back my brand new Wii and they offered $25. Try using Amazon or EBay. You can make a good $50. If you're unfamiliar with how selling things on Amazon and EBay works then check out these guides.

How can I play this game on my laptop?
My laptop is an HP 2000-363NR with W7 I3 4GB of RAM and 360GB of HDD and I want to play games like Skyrim on it but I can't due that I have Intel(R) HD Graphics, any ideas? Not just only Skyrim but alot of other games cannot be played because of Intel HD Graphics..How can I play this game on my laptop?
You should buy a new graphics card depending on your budgetHow can I play this game on my laptop?
Download 3D Analyze then download SwiftShader.
that will force the CPU to manage the graphics instead. However it lag like **** so it's better to use a dedicated graphics card.

Can i have more then one saved skyrim game on PC?
I am playing Skyrim and my brother wants to start his own can i save more then one game at a time on my PC. If so, How?Can i have more then one saved skyrim game on PC?
Yes to find it save then go to *load* it should be in thereCan i have more then one saved skyrim game on PC?
U can actually save as many as u want. It might be wise to transfer them to a folder unrelated to Skyrim before another person starts a series of saves though. This way they can't get mixed up...and there were reports of corrupted saves a while back.
The saves are stored here:
C:\users\ YOUR USER NAME \my documents\my games\skyrim\saves\
Me and my gf just made new folders in the "my games\skyrim\" folder and drag and drop our saves in and out when we want to switch off.
Like in the "my games\skyrim\" folder there are now three folders: "saves", "andrew", and "nancy" The game ignores any other folders besides "saves"Can i have more then one saved skyrim game on PC?
Yup all new saves on the new account will be under the pause %26gt; load menu. I don't know if you overwrite or make new saves, but be careful not to save over your brothers character.
I think so, just save in different copies.

A Good Game For Xbox to Hold Me Over Until Skyrim?
I need a new game to play until Skyrim comes out. I usually play RPG games that are non-linear where you can customize your character. I've played Fallout: 3, Fallout: New Vegas, the Fable Trilogy, both Dragon Age games, both Mass Effect games, and Oblivion, so something with the same elements as these. Thanks, guys :DA Good Game For Xbox to Hold Me Over Until Skyrim?
two worlds 2, is probably one of the best rpgs out that is similar to the once you listed, it defiantly has its flaws like voice acting, but it has a very open world, can be challenging if you don`t level up enough, also you could try divinty 2 the dragon knight saga, it also has a huge world, and you can turn into a dragon. And finally risen is also a good game.
all three games are very open non linear games that are more like oblivion in the sense of openness.
also if you can get old xbox games, then you could try Jade Empire, Star Wars knights of the old republic, the bards tale, which are also very open non linear games.
If your really into the charachter customization i would suggest Bioshock, it has some RPG elements in it and is a good story. Another good game if you're not too turned away by linear gameplay is Dead Space 1 and 2. Also a very good story and has some cool sets of armor that tends to change style quite well. Another game that offers quite the array of character customization is Lost Planet 2. Huge amounts of different armors and weapons allow for your own taste to show.A Good Game For Xbox to Hold Me Over Until Skyrim?
Tales of Vesperia, Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, and Borderlands (though this is a fps/rpg.) However, if you want a really challenging game but you're able to wait until early October, you can try to play Dark Souls, which is a successor of the PS3-exclusive Demon's Souls, which is one of my favorite RPG's of all time.
might try a free MMO RPG if you can find one, but if were referring only to console games i might suggest, "Demon Souls", "hunted the demons forge" they are both pretty fun, affordable RpgA Good Game For Xbox to Hold Me Over Until Skyrim?

Should I play the other Elder Scrolls games before I play Skyrim?
Are the games connected story wise? Is it the same character through every game?Should I play the other Elder Scrolls games before I play Skyrim?
You're wondering if you'll be left in the dark, confused. No, it's not necessary. There are references to past Elder Scrolls games, but they serve more as easter eggs and won't affect your gameplay.
Plus, you can learn a lot of the past storyline just by talking to people (in Skyrim) and reading books.

Will playing Skyrim on lower settings make the game not so fun?
I'm debating weather or not to buy Skyrim for my Laptop. It will run on my laptop, but I'll have to play in lower settings. My question is will this make the experience terrible? And how terrible will the graphics be on low settings? I could wait till june or july when I'm back in the united states, and buy it for my xbox, which I'll probably end up doing. I just hate to wait that long for such a badass game. Will playing Skyrim on lower settings make the game not so fun?
The game wont be as glittery and pretty obviously but that wont change the gameplay at all. Just make sure you can run it, grab the game, enjoy the game then when you get back to the states transfer the saves :-DWill playing Skyrim on lower settings make the game not so fun?
I have skyrim and my laptop isn't the best either so I have to play it on low settings. The scenery isn't as nice but it does not affect the game play :DWill playing Skyrim on lower settings make the game not so fun?
It will still be just as fun.game of thrones book redlobster

6GB free HDD Space
Direct X 9 compliant video card with 512 MB of RAM
My computer details (i hope this is all the info i need to provide)
Windows 7 (64bit system)
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor TK-42
CPU Speed: 1.6 GHz
RAM: 2.7 GB (usable at the moment)
320HDD GB
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics (Video Ram 1.4 GB)

Free Disk Space: 359.1 GB
DVD-ROM: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GT31N ATA Device
I have DirectX version 11.0
I went to the systemrequirementslab website and it said my CPU speed failed. But does 1.4GHz difference matter that much? Can i play on low setting or should i not even bother? Can my laptop play the new Skyrim game?
yes, 1.4Ghz is a big difference. You would probably be able to play it, but it would be very laggy even on low settings. My suggestion: get it for xbox 360 or ps3 (if you have one)Can my laptop play the new Skyrim game?
You shud be able to play it at the lowest settings but even then you'd suffer from crappy graphics and a lot of lag. Better give it a pass. Can my laptop play the new Skyrim game?
Slow CPU speed
The RAM would suffice... but you really want at least 4G of RAM for optimal performance
Video card is not nearly good enough
I really really doubt it.

What kind of new dlc can be expected for the game, Skyrim?
Played the game Skyrim to the point that there really nothing else to do, except randomly generating adventures....
I've heard of DLC coming out, but is that just little changes like new items? Or big expansive content like new locations and quests? What kind of new dlc can be expected for the game, Skyrim?
Bethesda has said they wanted to make their Skyrim DLC more like The Shivering Isles and less like the Fallout 3 DLC.
Meaning, high quality expansions well rounded with new land to explore, quests to do, and items to get.
I'm expecting it to have something to do with the Thalmor since you never really get to finish things up with them. What kind of new dlc can be expected for the game, Skyrim?
new lands like on oblivion shivering isles but i saw on a website it said they might allow access into some old regions or summin but maybe i saw it on website but it's believable cause there's a gate with a invisible wall in front of it that u can see morrowind through somewhere on map. So possiblry entry to previous regions

Do I have to play the previous Elder Scrolls games to play Skyrim?
Everyone is telling me to get it, but I really want to have more knowledge on the background.Do I have to play the previous Elder Scrolls games to play Skyrim?
no you don't. skyrim is in a completely different area of tamriel with an entirely new story line that doesn't need any background information from previous elder scrolls games. just create your character and enjoy playing =)
although the other elder scrolls games are very fun as well so you might still want to play them =P
I would suggest playing Morrowind, although certainly not required to enjoy Skyrim.
The series peaked at Morrowind. The game was conceptually amazing in every aspect. The game play was actually leaps and bounds above Skyrim, although it certainly is not as pretty.
Since Morrowind they have been dumbing the games down for casuals.Do I have to play the previous Elder Scrolls games to play Skyrim?
No, although there are some references made to other games within skyrim, they are just easter eggs.
Skyrim is the first one in the series I have played, and I enjoy it a lot (60hrs worth :-).)
No.
This question gets asked a lot. But although all the Elder Scrolls games are tied together, each one is a stand-alone game which requires no knowledge of previous games for it to be played.Do I have to play the previous Elder Scrolls games to play Skyrim?
No, the story is independent of the other games, from what I've heard.

Will i be able to play Skyrim if i have never played an Elder Scrolls game before?
You should be fine. It's not a direct sequel, it just takes place in the same world. Obviously, if you play the others you'll already have some knowledge of the setting and you may be able to pick up on some of the little references, but I think that they've written the series so that people can pretty much pick it up at any point and get into it.
This site is a pretty good one to look around for info on the Elder Scrolls:

I dont think that wouldbe a problem. I played morrowind and oblivion and i can say they are quite differet. Its not like a fighting game that has similar moves with its predecessor

Can I play Skyrim without playing the other Elder Scrolls games?
I haven't played any of the other Elder Scrolls games, but I want to get Skyrim. Do I need to play the others to appreciate the story line? What game should I start at?Can I play Skyrim without playing the other Elder Scrolls games?
you can play it its just you may understand alot more if you play marrowing and oblivion you can still understand it you just wont understand some of the refrences or background information but yes its very friendly to new elder scroll players
Not really. By and large the story lines in the games are separate. Might be the odd reference here or there, that you mightn't pick up on, but nothing major. Can I play Skyrim without playing the other Elder Scrolls games?
There are a few bit in the game that you'd understand more if you played the previous games but as it's set 200 years after oblivion (the previous game) you'll be fine
sure you can, this is like the one thats biggest anyway so sure, for most people buying it its their first time playing an elder scrolls game so go ahead, play itCan I play Skyrim without playing the other Elder Scrolls games?

If i beat the main quest in Skyrim, Will dragons go away and will I be unable to play other quests in th game?
So, please refrain from spoilers, but if I beat the main quest will I nolonger be able to slay dragons? Also, will I still be able to play the game's minor quests? If i beat the main quest in Skyrim, Will dragons go away and will I be unable to play other quests in th game?
Having completed the main quest myself, the dragons stay, and you can still do the other quests (which are quite numerous). After the main quest, I would suggest doing the Daedric quests.
I cannot give spoilers as I've not beat main quest yet either.
I would presume that once the main quest is completed there will be no more dragons.
Like Fallout and all other Bethesda games you can carry on with other quests and skills etc after main quest line is complete. If i beat the main quest in Skyrim, Will dragons go away and will I be unable to play other quests in th game?
SPOILERS!!!!!!
Yes the dragons stay. If fact right after you kill Alduin you get transported to an area where about 10 dragons are watching over you...I'm not sure if they say anything I went berserk when I saw them and killed two of them.
Yeah, some dragons stay behind but you can finish the main quest first and you'll still be able to run around, do other quests. :DIf i beat the main quest in Skyrim, Will dragons go away and will I be unable to play other quests in th game?
I believe dragons will leave, but you will still be able to play the rest of the game and do other quests.

I wanna play that game skyrim how good is it? and what is the storyline about?
I have the game and it's pretty good if you are into Role playing games or anything at all. You should like unless your a hardcore COD fan-boy. I think the story line is about Dragons returning to the land after ages and you gotta get rid of them or something. I need to play more of it.
I would suggest watching some gameplay or something before actually purchasing the game ALSO you may want to try out elder scrolls oblivion which was the prequel to this game and though their story lines aren't linked they have some very similar gameplay.I wanna play that game skyrim how good is it? and what is the storyline about?
It's a really good game. Very addictive. The storyline is basically you're a prisoner who was about to be executed, but a dragon attacks the execution and you break loose, eventually finding out you are destined to slay dragons and you must return peace to Skyrim. I'm pretty sure there are two endings, as you can join either the Imperial Legion, or the Stormcloaks.I wanna play that game skyrim how good is it? and what is the storyline about?

How can i play Skyrim at 640x480 resolution?
i can play any game @640x480 but not skyrim. the launcher does not allow me to run the game at this resolution. (my graphics card is kinda weak xD). How do i play at this resolution? How can i play Skyrim at 640x480 resolution?
Open your "skyrimprefs.ini" file with Notepad.
The file is located here:
C:\users\YOUR USER NAME\my documents\my games\skyrim\skyrimprefs.ini
Find these two entries:
iSize W=1920
iSize H=1080
NOTE: The values may not be "1920" and "1080" but it doesn't matter because u are going to change them anyway.
So now go ahead and change the "1920" (or whatever resolution the "W=" value was) to "640" and the "1080" to "480".
Save the file by the "save" command and not the "save as" command so that it doesn't tack on a .txt at the end of the file.
Now the game should run in that resolution. How can i play Skyrim at 640x480 resolution?
Well, then, you can't play ANY game, now can you?
You're not going to be able to do this. Get a better freaking computer.

I'm in need of a good role playing game for pc until Skyrim. Cure my boredom please.?
I'm just in need of a good RPG. Ive played WoW and have just given up upon it. I'm just looking for a new game I can play until Skyrim. I enjoy games such as Oblivion, Aion, EvE, %26amp; WoW. Something along those lines. I know i'm not giving much detail but hope I can get a result based upon these.I'm in need of a good role playing game for pc until Skyrim. Cure my boredom please.?
You listed MMORPGs and RPGs.
For RPGs, the best ones out there at the moment would be Fallout 3, Deus Ex Human Revolution, Dragon Age: Origins and The Witcher 2. Those are just modern ones though. If you want to go further back in time, there are classic games like Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Fallout 1, Deus Ex, Baldur's Gate 2, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and Star Wars: The Knights of The Old Republic.
For MMOs, you should wait for Firefall, and Star Wars: The Old Republic to come out.
For some free MMOs, try MMOHUT.Com
Because you like the Elder Scrolls series, I recommend Fallout 3, it's made by the same developer and is one of the best gaming experiences of all time.

Skyrim: how well will an ATI 5770 be able to play the game?
(this question is a repost to get more answers)
I have an HP desktop, and my specs are as follows (to the extant that I know them)
AMD Phenom quad core processer (x4) with 820 Megaherts? I don't know. it just says 820 something.
8 gigabytes of ram (Gdr 3 )
Motherboard is built in, and I don't know the model, but just how important is the motherboard anyway?
PSU: 650 watt
ATI radeon 5770 graphics card (with one gigabyte of GDDR 5 ram)
about 1 tera byte of HDD space
The computer works like a charm, it is able to play oblivion on "very high" settings flawlessly, and fallout New Vegas plays at "high" and "very high" settings FAIRLY WELL, A little gitter, and some slight FPS drops here and there, but NOTHING noticeable or unbearable.
My only concern is that when playing games like fallout, the GPU's temperature can reach up to about 69 C degrees, not sure if thats a bad thing?
I went to system requirements lab website, and it says I met the RECOMMENDED requirements to play the game (not sure what that means).
CAN SOMEONE TELL ME IF I'LL BE ABLE TO PLAY SKYRIM AT LEAST ON HIGH SETTINGS AND SMOOTH PERFORMANCE?
or should I just ditch it and go for the PS3? what are the pros and cons of each system?Skyrim: how well will an ATI 5770 be able to play the game?
We can not see how smooth game will perform until it comes out. Because it depends on how optimized the game is. And this is also depends on your screen resolution. You better wait until someone like tomshardware.com makes benchmarks of the game and see how smooth it runs on a 5770.
If you go for a PS3 you will miss possible DirectX 11 features. But if you are running the game on a high resolution, sticking to the 5770 might not run the game at maximum settings either.
Since you have good hardware on your pc you could buy a ATI Radeon HD 6950 for around 220 bucks from ebay. and I'm sure it will run Skyrim maxed out even on full HD [1920x1080] . And by doing a simple bios trick you can unlock an ATI HD 6950 into a ATI HD 6970 [Because both cards are based on AMD's new Cayman core which is their first graphics processor to use a VLIW4 shader configuration.]
Check the source for more info.
btw, buying a PS3 also has its advantages.. you can play superb games like Uncharted 3, MK9 etc. which are not available for PC, and also almost every PC game out there. However when comparing a maxed out PC graphics with a PS3 , PC graphics looks beautiful than PS3 because PS3 still uses old directx 9. And latest pc graphics cards can show you the beauty of directx 11 game graphics. However to get max settings on a PC you need a good graphics card. You can either buy a good grahics card just like i mentioned or you can go for ps3. its your choice.Skyrim: how well will an ATI 5770 be able to play the game?
yes lowering your screen resolution would increase FPS [frames per second] so you will be able to higher graphics quality.
A 5770 won't play Skyrim on fully maxed out settings, You probably have to settle for mostly medium settings with maybe a couple settings on high. Skyrim is much more demanding than Oblivion or New Vegas. A GPU temp o 69 degrees is nothing to worry about at all.stage stores yamaha atv

Will Skyrim have an activation code to play the full game?
I was thinking of renting this game as after I have completed it, I doubt I will play it again so could anyone tell me if this game has an activation code to unlock the full game?
Thanks. Will Skyrim have an activation code to play the full game?
IF your on the pc probably, if your on a console (like any bethesda console game) then no. Also note this game wont HAVE a way to complete it. The only way I "completed" oblivion was played EVERY type of class and tried every way I could think of to play each class and have reached lvl 56 as well completed (literally) all quests. Good luck with skyrim their side quests are dynamic. Will Skyrim have an activation code to play the full game?
it may do- as the other bethesda published singleplayer (mostly) game has one (rage) to unlock content, i hope it does as it's fair and if you didn't know it's 300 hours long (you will never "complete it" plus you'll want to replay???Will Skyrim have an activation code to play the full game?
It will have a code on the PC I'm sure, for consoles it probably won't

I have never played a Elder Scrolls game but people keep talking about Skyrim. Can i play it alone and?
understand it? or should i try somehow to find a earlier one first? STEAM and D2D dont seem to have any others and dont see any in stores.I have never played a Elder Scrolls game but people keep talking about Skyrim. Can i play it alone and?
Skyrim is a really great game. Its a good story to just jump right into. But I would also suggest playing Oblivion, although it is not a direct sequel to Skyrim.
Absolutely. The game is designed with new players, and casual gamers in mind. The storyline, and overall lore of the game require do not you to know anything about the previous Elder Scrolls games.I have never played a Elder Scrolls game but people keep talking about Skyrim. Can i play it alone and?
Ive only played skyrim and the oblivion which is just before skyrim. The references that skyrim offers which links to oblivion is minimal. Had i not played oblivion, i still would understand enough to fully enjoy the game. And most references ive seen are explained anyway so its all good. I also doubt that all skyrim players have played all the elder scrolls games as their are locations which even refer to the first elder scroll game. Yes, you will enjoy and understand the game. The main quest is completely different to the previous games. Although an assassin guild has quite a few references regarding to the previous game, oblivion. But i think that it isnt enough to stop you from understanding skyrim.

There is no way to tell what setting yet, because the specs have not been released yet, but I would say that you're computer would be able to play skyrim.

While paused while skyrim continue to count the time the game is switched on as play time?
while skyrim is paused does it continue to count towards the play time as listed on your save file? or does the clock stop? i was wondering because im level 29 and have been playing for 72 hours and alot of other people (i checked around) seem to be getting through the game a bit quicker. i havnt used fast travel though and i have left it on pause a few times for food/toilet/walking to the shops/porn breaks. While paused while skyrim continue to count the time the game is switched on as play time?
In steam, yes. As long as the game is running, the clock is ticking.
In the game there's only one way to find out. Make a save, leave the game on pause for 20 minutes, then save again and compare. While paused while skyrim continue to count the time the game is switched on as play time?
Haha. Porn breaks. I reckon it counts towards game time as surfing through your stats and quest logs probably counts as game time. But skyrim is an experience where you should play continuously. Set yourself up a time to play, then after that you can go for a porn break. Haha.

Is my computer good enough to play games (Skyrim, BF3)?
I'm wondering if my computer is good enough to play games like Skyrim, Battlefiled 3 and MW3.
I have an HP PC, Intel core 2 quad 2.33ghz, 1tb hd, 8GB ddr2 memory, and a crappy video card but im planning on buying an evga gtx 560 ti. I'm mainly concerned about the 2.33 ghz, wondering if that'll be a problem. Thanks in advance. Is my computer good enough to play games (Skyrim, BF3)?
The Intel Core 2 Quad is a nice CPU to game on. It is fast enough to run Battlefield 3, as long as you don鈥檛 use your crappy video card and wait for the GTX 560 Ti. BF3 is the most demanding game right now, so if your PC can play it then it can run Any game out right now.
Btw, the thing that saves you is that the Intel Core 2 Quad has 4 CPU cores that are all put to use in the newer games like BF3.Is my computer good enough to play games (Skyrim, BF3)?
Should run it fine allthough just so you know you cant have a core 2 and a Qaud its immposible its either dual or qaud not both.
Graphics Card you wanna get æ‹¢50 - $70 one if you want to get a good one ot last for a good 4 months

I never played Elder Scrolls Skyrim. Is it a single player game or do you play with others online?
What makes the game so good?I never played Elder Scrolls Skyrim. Is it a single player game or do you play with others online?
Its a single player game (but if you buy it for PC, you can get a multiplayer mod)
Its open world and there are SOOOO MANY QUESTS, that it is almost impossible to finish them all
Ive been playing video games for 23 years and this is the biggest map ever it takes like 2 hours to walk to some cities and unlimited option of customization and even the storyline has alterntives. millions of items and hundreds of levels to work on. It is single player disk on xbox or ps3 and its the best game in the world.I never played Elder Scrolls Skyrim. Is it a single player game or do you play with others online?
It's a single player game
It's single player.
It's classic RPG elements is what makes it so good, along with the improved melee combat and character customization in regards to combat style.
But, if you don't like single-player RPG then you won't enjoy it.
Personally, it's most enjoyable when you play in small amounts over a long period of time.I never played Elder Scrolls Skyrim. Is it a single player game or do you play with others online?
single player
if you love quest games you will definitly love sjyrim go kill guards and dragons and other creatures and scavenge armor and weapons amazing game
Its single player
It is really popular because it keeps you very busy but its just all around a good game
have you ever played fallout 3? its basically the same type of game because its made by the same people. Not to mention the game goes on for hours of quests, gameplay and story
Single player RPG. It's amazing because it's a true classic RPG experience. The story in each Elder Scrolls game is extremely rich, you can create a very unique character based on how you choose to play, the gameplay in Skyrim is fantastic... what isn't good about it? It's challenging, full of puzzles, never ending quests, mysterious, great graphics... the list goes on.
Skyrim is definitely the best Elder Scrolls game so far. However, each game links to each other in mild ways. Each game takes place in a whole country in the continent of Tamriel. Morrowind took place in Morrowind, Hammerfell took place in Hammerfell, Oblivion took place in Cyradil, and so on and so forth. Each game takes place in a different time. Skyrim takes place 200 years after Oblivion, so there are a lot of references to Oblivion in Skyrim.
The Elder Scrolls games really define the RPG first person genre. Final Fantasy defines the 3rd person RPG genre.
Single player, its an open world game with LOTS to do, its based in the medieval age though, but its awesome.

How do I remove the controller to game delay when playing Skyrim on a PC with an Xbox 360 controller?
Whenever I attempt to use my wired Xbox 360 controller to play Skyrim (and sometimes other games) I notice that there is a small delay between the input made on the controller, and the output in the game. It is not horrible, but it simply feels weird and makes it more difficult to be fluent within the game. Is there anyway to remove the delay, or even reduce it?How do I remove the controller to game delay when playing Skyrim on a PC with an Xbox 360 controller?

Since I'm new to elder scroll games, do you recommend starting off with skyrim or another game?
As much as I want to play the older games, I really just want to play Skyrim. When I played a sequel to another game then played the first it was just bad to me. So is getting the older games before I play Skyrim a good investment?Since I'm new to elder scroll games, do you recommend starting off with skyrim or another game?
Here's what I just said to someone else ...
They really explain everything you need to know to follow the story line and all the books in the game provide more history and and sometimes helpful clues for your quests. But every Elder Scrolls game is designed as if you've never played an Elder Scrolls game before and they do a very good job at it.
That being said ... If you do like Skyrim you should at least try Oblivion and Morrowind they are both great games. Though the learning curve is steep from Skyrim (easiest to learn) to Oblivion (somewhat challenging to get used to) and Morrowind (most difficult to learn and more difficult to master its also best played on PC where you can get texture mods to make the game look better)
In my opinion they should be played in reverse order of their release. Especially with new players since the learning curve has been lowered from game to game.Since I'm new to elder scroll games, do you recommend starting off with skyrim or another game?

Choose from hundreds of weapons, spells, and abilities; the new character system allows you to play any way you wantSince I'm new to elder scroll games, do you recommend starting off with skyrim or another game?
I have played all of the games and its really not worth the $ to buy them. Oblivion might be something you would want to get but thats just because there are ALOT of references to that game in skyrim. Also, Skyrim has everything I loved about Oblivion (Char. creation, Spells, Traveling, Exploring) except it is alot more refined. To sum it up, get skyrim, unless you want some more backstory before starting it. in that case get oblivion.
Yeah! I never grew up with the elderscrolls. This game is amazing. If your more RPG type and like never ending stories. Depends, Look at gameplay and reviews. If you dont have friends that play that narrows things to talk about, of course, theres the internet.

I just brought my first ever Elder Scrolls game, Skyrim. Any tips on characters and likewise?
Never really played a role playing game before and I've never played skyrim. I got it for my birthday and after reading about it it sounds really confusing, what character do you advise I start with? Any tips on how to survive the campaign?I just brought my first ever Elder Scrolls game, Skyrim. Any tips on characters and likewise?
Really the best way to play is just pick a character you like and experiment with it. If you decide you don't like the character start a new one.
But as for how to play I suggest Sword and Shield to start and then throw in a little magic archery and stealth. Be sure to mess around with enchantments and smithing as well they will help you out a lot.Alchemy can be useful too but it's not really a priority. Once you get the hang of it you will be tearing through dragons in no time ;)
But the real heart of Skyrim is to play the game however you want. If you think a battle may be too hard there's no shame in running away to live another day and then come back when your character levels up and tear them to pieces.
One big thing about Skyrim is that if you enter a dungeon it will get locked to your current level and will remain so for the rest of the game. So if you go into a dungeon and leave at level 1 all the monsters in that dungeon are locked in at level 1. So if you come back at level 10 you'll have a better chance of surviving the mission. HOWEVER, there are some exceptions to the rules like main quest dungeons, dragons, and certain areas of the map. But really if you think something looks a little too tough run away.
One last piece of advice as always in an RPG. SAVE EARLY AND SAVE OFTEN!
I hope you enjoy Skyrim as much as I have these last few weeks. It truly is a very good game once you get past the learning curve.I just brought my first ever Elder Scrolls game, Skyrim. Any tips on characters and likewise?
more than likely the best choice for you would be a sword and board kinda character (one that wears heavy armor like plate, uses a one handed sword/axe/mace and a shield) melee is pretty simple, you just run up and hit things. I dunno about all of the characters (don't own the game but i've read a lil about it) but more than likely an Orc or Nord(?) would be your best options for characters that start off with high strength and hit points.I just brought my first ever Elder Scrolls game, Skyrim. The Battle-Mage is a mage and warrior hybrid. Best Race would be Breton or Argonian.

Can someone tell me why my save game files don't appear when I try to play skyrim on my XBox?
I bought Skyrim on release and played it until level 45, but the disc got a perfect circle scratch and I had to return it for a new copy of the game. Now, every time I try to use the load game option, it is greyed out. Does anyone know why this is happening, and how to fix it? Thanks. Can someone tell me why my save game files don't appear when I try to play skyrim on my XBox?

Do i have to play the previous elder scrolls game to understand skyrim?
Ok, I have to admit, skyrim looks amazing. But before I got it, or preordered it, I wanted to know if I needed to play the previous elder scrolls game to understand it. Do I? If I do, will someeone please tell me a brief summary of the previous ones or give me a link to read it?Do i have to play the previous elder scrolls game to understand skyrim?
No, I really doubt it. Each Elder Scrolls game has it's own unique storyline and characters. You can play the previous games if you want to get more out of the lore, but by all means, you don't have to in order to enjoy it. I played (and loved) Oblivion long before I ever played Morrowind.
In terms of storyline, no. Skyrim is a completely different game and has a completely different storyline. However, it would help if you have played Oblivion since the concept is fairly similar. Unlike Oblivion (following on from Morrowind), Skyrim is set 200/300 years later and the plot is altogether more complex, however possible enthralling.
So to conclude, Skyrim will be amazing however you do not need to play other Elder Scrolls games in order to understand Skyrim (it would help if you've played RPG games before).Do i have to play the previous elder scrolls game to understand skyrim?
No. There might be vague references to the events on oblivion, but normally events are referenced in lore found in in-game books and so on. Each Elder Scrolls game is pretty much a stand alone - they are set in the same universe, but you don't need to play the previous ones to understand a new one. The plot in the previous elder scrolls games weren'tt that important anyway (the main quest sort of took a backseat to the world and all the side quests)
There may be things in the game that are little winks and nods to people who have played the other games, but I don't think that you need to play them in order to understand the storyline. I'm fairly sure, anyway.Do i have to play the previous elder scrolls game to understand skyrim?
Absolutely not. I haven't played any of the previous Elder Scrolls games, and Skyrim is the best game I have ever played.
No, each Elder Scrolls game is designed to be understandable for a new player.
Not at all. I didn't play any of the previous games before Oblivion, and I still fell in love with the gameplay and story.
i suggest playing the elder scrolls iv oblivion first but they dont completely go in order
Nope, anyone can play it

Do you have to play the other Elder Scrolls games to play skyrim?
I've never played an Elder Scrolls game, and I was just wondering if playing previous ones was necessary to know what's going on in skyrim. It looks like a great game but I wanna be able to understand the story.Do you have to play the other Elder Scrolls games to play skyrim?
Don't worry about that. There's no consistent plot to follow, although the neat thing is that every sequel of the Elder Scrolls mentions SOMETHING about the events that happened in the Elder Scrolls game before it. Like, Skyrim will have people explain about the Oblivion Crisis that happened in TESIV, and so on.
Altough, I seriously recommend you play The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion just for the sake of feeling the gameplay difference. I mean, think about this. You will add hours and hours of more fun just by playing them all, and not just the most recent release. Plus, once you ARE done with Morrowind and Oblivion, you will see just how much more diverse Skyrim will be, and will want to play that even more.
Trust me, I would just do that. Don't forget to buy the Game of the Year Edition for Morrowind, and get the 5th Anniversary Edition for Oblivion. See, the 5th Anniversary is pretty much the Game of the Year eidtion and the Collector's edition put together for the price of one.
Have fun.
No, you don't.
You'll catch on with the story/lore pretty quickly.
But I do recommend playing the other ones, with enhanced graphics mods, preferably before Skyrim. And they're cheap. Playing through Oblivion will give you a nice idea of what Skyrim will be like (but Skyrim is much better).Do you have to play the other Elder Scrolls games to play skyrim?
Nope. This one takes place 200 years after the last one. If you've played the previous game you'll get more of the references in the books, but the stroy has no relation.
nope
Skyrim has an entirely different story.
It'll have an occasional reference to previous games but it will not influence the story majorly.Do you have to play the other Elder Scrolls games to play skyrim?
It's not necessary to play the previous games
Playing elder scrolls would help you to understand the races, armour, weapons and stuff. But you don't need to.
no.
its a new story, people and towns
and get it. its a great game
Skyrim is a standalone game
older games are still very cool to play!
