Would I be able to play Skyrim if I only meet the minimum requirements?

I just checked the minimum requirements, and I'm barely scraping by. I would really like to play Skyrim, but am I better playing something smaller instead of not getting everything out of the game?



I have:

XP, Intel Core2 Duo, 2.40Ghz 2.39Ghz, 3GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce 8400M 512 MB.



What do you think?

If you will play Skyrim on low resolution and low settings then you can run Skyrim.
