My Skyrim Don't read. it says 'Play Game' Will it work if i install my mates skyrim on my hard drive?

Well my mind says

If i install my mates skyrim and then play it with my 'Perfect Circle Scratched' Disk.the Xbox won't know its a ligit copy?

It works fine i did the same thing with y mates fifa last year. My fifa got laserburn due to my desk collapsing the circle got absolutely demolished but after i installed my mates it worked fine
