BLACK OPS!!!!!Whats the best xbox 360 game out that doesnt need xbox live to play? (besides skyrim)?
I do have to say I think your best option would be a sandbox game. GTA, Just Cause 2, Fallout 3, possibly Fable 2 or 3(Fable games are not quite free roam). You could also go with a game like Halo or COD to play a pretty good campaign, but there is not a lot of replay on those unless you like playing campaign over and over again.
I recommend Fable, which is a bit dated or Grand Theift Auto: IV which I strongly recommend
As for Call of Duty, Battlefield etc. They are only enjoyible when you have Xbox LiveWhats the best xbox 360 game out that doesnt need xbox live to play? (besides skyrim)?
Any of the Fallout games. They rock. And Batman: Arkham Asylum. There is a reason game magazines have been giving it 10 out of 10. It ROCKS.
Grab Fallout: New Vegas and Batman... and we will see you in 6 months.
Batmans are fun Forza 4 is good Madden 12 you can do like franchise mode or superstar Assassins creed...Whats the best xbox 360 game out that doesnt need xbox live to play? (besides skyrim)?
OMG call of duty modern warfare 3 story line is the best storyline ever!
assassins creed revelations story line.
Battlefield 3 story line
call of duty Modern warfare 2 has a reallllly good storyline

What would be a good game to trade "Skyrim" for?
I've gotten all the trophys which was my main goal, now im done with all the main quest lines and a majority of the random ones. I am at the point where i am bored with the game and probably wont play it for a few months. I am planning on posting it to Craigslist for trade, what would be a decent game to trade it for? I already own Mw3 btw. What would be a good game to trade "Skyrim" for?
I really like Rockstar games, I wouldn't trade in Skyrim, but if I was I would trade it probably for Red Dead Redemption, La noire, Mafia 2, not Gta, Gta is kinda boring imo but RDR is really fun if you haven't played that yet.

Dark Souls
eh, i dont know the trade ratio for places like craigslist. what you can get could be a huge range of quality. What would be a good game to trade "Skyrim" for?
I'm not familiar with craigslist trading but IMO Skyrim is one game that should stay in your personal library you can always go back to it and play it all over again. There's really no other game that really compares to Skyrim. Though some good games that were released around the same time are as follows
Saint's Row: The Third
Assassins Creed: Revelations
Battlefield 3
Dark Souls
xbox 360

Why does my PS3 when I play high graphic games?
When I play games like Skyrim or Oblivion my PS3 will sometimes freeze up and I'll have to restart my system. It's very weird. I want to know why it does it and how to stop it. Thanks! Why does my PS3 when I play high graphic games?
Ive heard of specific issues with skyrim freezes and crashes,Ijust started a few days ago and havent had a major freeze,I have a new ps3.I read alot about video memory issues with skyrim that patches are supposed to fix but havent yet.I guess some have issues, some dont, also while it may not fix your skyrim freeze I dont know, but keeping it clean is a must.I heard the last patch did nothing for people with freezes.Like I said I just started and I havent had a problem.Google ps3 skyrim freeze fix. There is an article I just read in hot hardware and it explains how not everyone is having issues and they are working patch 1.4 to help with autosave freeze and memory fix issues ps3 has a different type vram than xbox or traditional pc.The cell proc has had some issues from some devs due to that.Than others play amazing.I have zero freezes on skyrim or rage etc.
Because Betheseda doesn't know how to program for the PS3. All of their games, Elder Scrolls, Fallout) have serious bugs the corrupt your save files and freeze your PS3. The just dont program their games well for the PS3. Other 3rd party games with as good or better graphics (Assassins Creed, Grand Theft Auto, NBA 2K, Madden, Battlefield, and many others for example) dont have these issues. First party games the DEFINETLY look better (Uncharted 2 and 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone 2 and 3, Resistance 2 and 3) don't have these issues. Their games look better, and dont have those issues. Gamers have finally gotten sick of it. It only took them 4 games to get sick of it though SMH...Why does my PS3 when I play high graphic games?
Ive been playing skyrim alsosince it came out never had an issue but sometimes on load screens it takes a second longer,Im playing battlefield also everyday not a single problem and thats one of the most intense games out.Check if your running hot.The answer about heat is 100% right.
Is it new slim or older style? It may be Gpu or cpu overheat, first thing is make sure theres good airflow blow out vents in unit with compressed air,and make sure nothing is obstructing the intake.Todays games are a bit more graphicly intense which creates more heat.I had to take mine apart and repaste the cpu and gpu.But it was worth it,it had yellow light of death and has been running perfect now for a year.Keep It Clean! That usualy fixes all glitches and issues, there are no driver updates and its not just one game so Ive seen it before its heat issue, due it now before you have to repaste. You can find steps on google if needed.Good luck. Why does my PS3 when I play high graphic games?
I never had an issue with freezing on rage or skyrim.I agree about overheating also.Ihave a new slim with the newer optimised chipset, and smaller fan,I dont keep it enclosed in a cabinet and dust it every week.Just like my laptop.
Skyrim is a bethesda hand and they suck at porting to the ps3 . Generally most multiplatform games will run crappy on ps3 because it was optimized for the xbox 360
its not high graphic games and its a problem with the developers engine that they used to make this game.

Skyrim game problems?
It's not that I am stuck anywhere or cannot find some trainer, I am nearing the end of the Thieves' Guild quests (or so I think), and I am in the Falmer cave place hunting down you-know-who (don't want to give away spoilers), and my game has become insanely choppy. I am playing on an xbox360, so it's not PC component issues or anything. It has happened twice now, it starts off like when you first spawn on a CoD game, but then it gets extremely bad to the point where it's a new frame every 2 or 3 seconds.
My xbox is pretty new, it doesn't happen on any other games, and these are the first times it has happened (in the caves), is it just a game glitch (like when the game freezes during the Dark Brotherhood quests, when you are in the Nightmother's coffin), or has this not happened to anyone else?
I have tried playing on the disc (which is not scratched) and the installed version, the problem occurs on both. What I have to do to get it to stop is Save %26gt; Power Off xBox %26gt; Restart, which makes me think that my xbox is overheating, but nothing is different in the heat, or sound of it from playing skyrim to watching netflix, etc.
Any ideas of why this is happening? Is this common? And what is the best flavor of ice cream?

Skyrim save file deleted as soon as I started playing a new game, WHY?
I was playing Skyrim for some days now and decided I could play with a different character just for fun. I started a new game and after the first quest I went to create a new save but my original saved file was deleted and instead I had some ''AUTO Skyrim'' saves from the new game and ''Create New Save Data'' but still my original game data was deleted and nowhere to be found. I'm so pissed that I just don't know if I want to continue with this game. This is so frustrating. I was playing for no purpose at all! All the satisfaction went in vain.Skyrim save file deleted as soon as I started playing a new game, WHY?
Hey mate, sorry to hear that. The same thing happened to me this morning, there doesn't seem to be any way to recover your lost save file. I was lucky enough that I had two saves I made myself, since I keep a second save for when I am in dungeons. I still lost about twenty hours progress, which I was pretty upset about, but after hearing about what happened to you I feel a bit better. :(
Anyway, just give the game a break for awhile and come back to it whenever you've cooled down/gotten over it. Whether that's a few days or whatever. Skyrim's still a fun game, despite the bugs like this.Skyrim save file deleted as soon as I started playing a new game, WHY?
i heard that it was a bug for either the ps3 or xbox360.
sorry for what happened, but just enjoy playing from now on.
i hope you don't get angry at bethesda, but they do really have a reputation for having sort of buggy games at release. bethesda games are always at its' best after receiving all the patches/DLCs it could.Skyrim save file deleted as soon as I started playing a new game, WHY?
You have to save more then once or else it will overwrite it
check your hard drive or something. its there somewhere.

Is it a good idea to play other Elder Scrolls before I play Skyrim?
Is it a big long story like assassin's creed where to really grasp the story it's better to have started from the first-ish game?Is it a good idea to play other Elder Scrolls before I play Skyrim?
No not all. Every Elder Scrolls has had its own theme, diverse world, and original characters. Kind of like the Fallout seties, you dont use the same chatacter throughout the games (in Fallout 3 your actually born at the beginning of the game).
Without spoiling Skyrim too much I will tell you that The Elder Dcrolls IV Oblivion is merely a footnote in Skyrim. The characters will mention a few events that happened in Oblivion but nothing that you'll really need to know much about.
Go ahead and purchase whichever game you feel like playing first. I will say that Oblivion has no trophies and Skyrim does so that's something that might make a difference in your purchase.
Also if you're going to purchase oblivion make sure to get either the game of the year edition or the 5h anniversary version which include all the extras you'll want to have.Is it a good idea to play other Elder Scrolls before I play Skyrim?
you can play oblivion first if you want, but you dont have to. im just saying its like skyrim a bit.

Can the Alienware M18x notebook be able to play World of Warcraft, Skyrim, AND all the Sims 3 games?
Not all at the same time, but will I be able to have all of them on there and not lag when gaming?
Mainly I'd like to know if the game would be able to run them without having to be customized, and if it were to be customized; how well they'd play. Can the Alienware M18x notebook be able to play World of Warcraft, Skyrim, AND all the Sims 3 games?
m18x can play any game uncostomized with no lag but if your going to spend that kind of money on a laptop, my recommendation would be to at least get a couple upgrades. if that is not an option, maybe think about sacrificing some screen size for some upgraded internals. Can the Alienware M18x notebook be able to play World of Warcraft, Skyrim, AND all the Sims 3 games?
It can easily play the sims, it can also play WoW quite well and it can run Skyrim on ultra averaging 30fps. Skyrim is quite easy to play however it is hard to achieve 60fps or more. It depends on your specs.
Anyway, Alienware is very overpriced. You can get better specs for 拢400-拢500 quid less. The money goes to the brand to be honest. Can the Alienware M18x notebook be able to play World of Warcraft, Skyrim, AND all the Sims 3 games?
Isn't the Alienware M18x laptop the one with the following specs?
- Intel Core i7 2960XM, 4 cores, 8 threads, 2.7 GHz
- 16 GB DDR3 RAM
- AMD Radeon HD 6990m with 2 GB DDR5
- 18" WLED 1920 x 1080 screen
- Internal High-Definition 5.1 Performance Audio
- Gigabit Ethernet + 802.11 B/G/N WiFi
Given the fact that you spent $2000 US on that laptop, I think you just want to SHOW IT OFF, since you know that laptop can play any game on the market today at ultra high frames per second with graphics details set to ultra high. No one spends that much money without knowing what they are getting in return :P
Have fun!
Absolutely can! It should run all games smoothly with no lag! No any customized require! Highly recommend!

Does skyrim cost to play on pc?
if i buy skyrim will it cost to play, like a monthly fee like wow or swtor Or is it just buy the game and play as much as you want?Does skyrim cost to play on pc?
You can play it as much as you want once you buy it. It's single player, not multiplayer like WoW or ToR.Does skyrim cost to play on pc?
Buy the game through Steam and once you buy it you can play UNLIMITED!!
NO MONTHLY BILL!!
The only reason why those other games charge monthly is because addicts will pay and its an MMORPG while Skyrim is a RPGDoes skyrim cost to play on pc?
its a single player game so no fee is required to play but their is a mod out that is in alpha still letting people play multiplayer

Should i get that game Skyrim ?
My pc has intel i5 quad core and nvidia GT 530 ( 4 g ram ) . I don't want to buy the game only to play it in low quality :(( . I don't really care about high fps like 60 i would like over 25 fps .Should i get that game Skyrim ?
yes you should even if you cant run it you should just look at the box and the instructions.
It would seem to me that you probably meet the minimum system requirements for the game. So you should be able to play it. In terms of whether you should get it i would have to say yes. Just yes. Skyrim is awesome. The best game of the year in my opinion and definitely gonna get a game of the year.Should i get that game Skyrim ?
You shouldn't have any problems actually you should manage high ok maybe some some ultra options.
My PC has a slightly older Graphics card (Nvidia 285GTX) with 6GB RAM and an Intel I7 and i get between 40 to 60 FPS with ultra settings and some improved graphics mods. Skyrim is more RAM and CPU intensive. You can also check sites like can you run it which will tel lyou right away if you PC can handle it
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyr鈥?/a>
Nvidia also has a tweak guide for the game and can also check your graphics card for performance in the game
http://uk.geforce.com/optimise/guides/th鈥?/a>
The only thing i would recommend is to get hold of the 4GB exe mod for Skyrim. The default game exe only allows a maximum of 2GB to be used at a time which is weird for a 2011 game. However a patch is coming to fix this normally anyway
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/fil鈥?/a>
If you are struggling to run the game there are loads of performances tweaks that can be done to make it run better, this is the biggest advantage of the PC version
Is that 4GB your memory card's RAM or your system's RAM? If it's your system's RAM, bump it up to 6 or 8GB (cheap to do) and the game should play well enough. It's not like a FPS that needs top-of-the-line graphics anyways.Should i get that game Skyrim ?
This would be a good answer

You should be ok with medium or high, go get the game.
I think your specs are above average, so if you enjoy the game, then get it
yeah you,d run the game fine just one thing though whats your graphics? you will want a half decent graphics card :)
You should really get it! It will work great on your PC!bento used boats

Can I play games on my netbook from my gaming PC?
Is there a way to use my gaming pcs power to play games on my netbook? Ive used a website called streammygame before but they don't have a very wide selection of games. I want to play skyrim on my netbook, only on a local network. Can I play games on my netbook from my gaming PC?
Netbooks will generally be powered by an Intel Atom 1.6Ghz single core set up similar to that of an Intel Celeron with up to 2GB of DDR2 or DDR3 memory and a crappy 5400RPM hard drive but with 3 to 12 hours of battery life depending on the overall features and brand.
Netbooks are not designed to play games with hardware hungry resource requirements, such as Skyrim. The onboard graphics chipset will not be powerful enough to play most games except those under 2007 for some.
To fix this, you may need to go and buy yourself a SSD drive to increase the performance required and reduce bottleneck issues to load the applications faster. You won't be able to upgrade anything else except for the hard drive and memory on a netbook.
This is the unfortunate ownership of netbooks / laptops %26amp; notebooks. More so than a desktop. Can I play games on my netbook from my gaming PC?

(xbox) Can't load Skyrim game.?
So, I have a banned xbox live account, (due to invalid payment) and I recently got Skyrim. I've been playing for quite a while and even brought it over to my girlfriends house a few times and it still works fine. Now all of the sudden it says I can't play because the game I saved was used on an updated version and I should download an update. But I'm not connected to live at all which means I cant get the update.. And since I first started playing (about a week ago) not once did it ask to update the game. So, any help? I've even tried transferring it to a different hard drive and everything. So please I really don't want to start over, if there is a way to fix the problem without xbox live, it would be much obliged.(xbox) Can't load Skyrim game.?
Sadly no. Your only options are to start over or update via xbox live.

I need help picking a pc game to buy and play. From the list that i supply please pick one to recommend.?
I consider myself a pc gamer because i am playing games on my computer all the time and my xbox got red rings, so cant play on that. I am currently on a mission to play games on my computer that were made before 2009. If you guys have games you can recommend that aren't on my list then please telll me. (they dont have to be pc exclusive). I am currently playing skyrim and i just finished a very good game called max payne. I have also played fallout new vegas, Deus Ex and arkham asylum, all of these are great. Now here is my list of games i have researched about and am hoping to get an opinion from you people. :
Indigo Prophecy(Fahrenheit) heard its made by the studio that developed Heavy Rain.

Get Borderlands game of the year edition, it comes with 4 addons, its a shooter/rpg, open world, tons of weapons, hours of gameplay, you can get to level 69 with the addons, you can drive in the game, do lots of quests, play singleplayer or multiplayer, its funny, you should get this game its awesome.
i'd go with mafia or borderlands. theyre both tons of fun. Mafia 2 is even better. but its hard to live up to skyrim hahaI need help picking a pc game to buy and play. From the list that i supply please pick one to recommend.?
Red Faction .Red Faction is a first-person shooter video game developed by Volition, Inc. and published by THQ. It was released for the PlayStation 2, Microsoft Windows and Mac in 2001.
1. Portal
2. Half-Life 2I need help picking a pc game to buy and play. From the list that i supply please pick one to recommend.?
Quake
Starcraft I%26amp;II
Titan's Quest
Dawn of War 2
Team Fortress 2
Counter Strike
I have a few games that come to mind. Portal was an excellent game. A must-play. Also, if you've played Skyrim and New Vegas, I recommend Fallout 3, Bethesda's Game of the Year for 2008. I heard good things about Borderlands, Half-Life, and Thief (Thief being famous for it's well done sneaking). As far as the rest on the list, I'm not sure. Good Luck. ^^

Do I need to read a guide to play Skyrim?
I see a bunch of guides everywhere, and they even sell an official guide for the game. I'm going to get the game soon, do I really need a guide? Can I play through with no guide?Do I need to read a guide to play Skyrim?
No. There are tricky parts, but most people can eventually figure them out on their own.
Guides are fine though. I will use a guide (or walkthrough) after I have played sometimes to see if I missed something.
I would never buy a guide with all the free ones on the net.
You don't need a guide to play Skyrim it's easy to do anything. If you were stuck on a mission you or how to do something could probably just look it up on the internet.Do I need to read a guide to play Skyrim?
It's more fun to play without it. BUT it's nice to have one nearby, just in case you get stuck anywhere, or really need a point in the right direction.
you can play it without reading any guide, or even a manual its super easy to playDo I need to read a guide to play Skyrim?

I recently received skyrim for christmas and i would like to play it without needing the cd in the drive. Did you create a Steam account? I got Fallout:New Vegas from a disk and I can play it and even re-download the game if I have to if I'm logged into my Steam account.

There is a more vague back story that connects all the games together, but it's not at all necessary for gameplay.Do I need to play the other Elder Scroll games before Skyrim?

How to play windows pc games on the MacBook Pro?
I've been dying to know how are you allowed to play window version games on the mac. I've heard of certain types of programs that will allow it to work on through installation and such, but what are these programs and how do they work? I've been trying to play my Elder Scrolls games in anticipation for the new Elder Scrolls Skyrim game that comes out this Oct. Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions? How to play windows pc games on the MacBook Pro?
Your main problem is that MacBook's (and mac's collectively) don't have a wide variety of games like PC's do, the only way to lay "Windows" games on a Mac is to see if the game you want to lay is available on Mac, either that or buy it on console, sorry for a disappointing answer but that's all the options to be honest. How to play windows pc games on the MacBook Pro?
I would simply ask Windows by creating a Query in documents for Windows, and use your Narrator to convey the query to the rest of the Program.... Sounds like the disc to an arrow to the knee and got scratchedMy xbox 360 wont play skyrim?
Okay, what happened was it was in your system, and the system was moved, or bumped into or something, there is ways to fix it.
1.) Rub toothpaste on the disk then wipe it off.
2.)Go to your local movie gallery or what every and pay 3 dollars for a fix.

What cities can I kill people in the game Skyrim - XBOX360?
When playing Skyrim on the xbox360 i know that you can kill basically anyone in the cities, but what cities can I kill people that I don't necessarily need? Like I can kill people there and after that I can still go to another city without any hate or them trying to kill me??What cities can I kill people in the game Skyrim - XBOX360?
Join the Imperial Legion and then just go to the stormcloak bases and kill all of them.
If you really want to kill civilians, just sneak and kill the beggars.Riverwood also doesn't really have many important characters. Remember, the crime in Skyrim is based on where you committed it. If you killed someone in Riverwood, no one in Riften is going to care.

Is there any way to get a Ps3 controller to work to play PC games on steam?
I plan to do this to play Skyrim since the game is utterly broken on Ps3Is there any way to get a Ps3 controller to work to play PC games on steam?
It is possible, but at first you have to be sure that your controller is correctly detected at Windows. After that simply change control details at Options into Game!

Hi im buying skyrim iv never played any of there past games im a decent gamer not hardcore?
so will i be able to play the hole game in third person view dont like first. and will there be a large learning curve.do you need to play the other games first or will skyrim still be enjoyble for first timers like myself. other information on game would be helpful. i play most games accept f.p.s.Hi im buying skyrim iv never played any of there past games im a decent gamer not hardcore?
Yes you will be able to play in third person view as the added it because they noticed most people played fallout 3 in 3rd person view and some of the play testers for this game too it one of the major improvements made in this era of games :)
As for playing the previous games you don't really need too only if you want to follow the storyline because it may mention past references or instances. Other than that i am sure the game will guide you in the beginning and explain things like it did in the previous games :)
enjoy skyrim i will warn you tho you we be addicted i started in the days of the morrow wind game and haven't stopped :)
the elders scrolls series is awesome and i suggest you try the previous game too :)Hi im buying skyrim iv never played any of there past games im a decent gamer not hardcore?
EDIT: I defer to JACKNIFE who is correct about third person view, in which case it will an excellent game for you. ~Thanks for that JACKNIFE ~
It will be first person. It's a stand alone game, so you don't need to play the previous games. I played Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, it was the first RPG I'd played but I have played a lot of fps. On the strength of Oblivion I will get Skyrim.
If you are really not a fan of first person view then I wouldn't recommend it but if you think you could get used to first person view then give it a try, but if you really can't abide that viewpoint then give it a miss [or wait till the price comes way down].

No you do not the story of skyrim ocurrs after the elderscrolls 4 oblivion and morowind. i just finished the story line today so i say this from personal expirence. there are a few little things in the game that refer to tiber septim and martin septim from oblivion but other than that there isnt much that will make you need the other story lines info. and none that rely information from the last games. Can i play Skyrim without knowing the storyline?
you'll be okay.
there are little reference you won't understand but you might pick up on eventually, but nothing that will confuse you.
there are also many many books in game that you can read (usually about 4 or 5 pages long) that talk about the lore of the elder scrolls series.
ALSO! if something is really confusing you you could just find an elder scrolls wiki and look it up
Nope. The Elder Scrolls games don't have linked storylines. You can play this without knowing anything about the others. Can i play Skyrim without knowing the storyline?

How do I play a game straight from the disc, not harddrive, without uninstalling it?
Some are saying Skyrim will run better if playing it uninstalled. Any help is appreciated xx ^_^How do I play a game straight from the disc, not harddrive, without uninstalling it?
yes well actually the game wont load any faster but the textures are much better if play the game without installing itHow do I play a game straight from the disc, not harddrive, without uninstalling it?
I guess not, as the games need to backup when u play it...so just install it on your driver, and it would not take long...How do I play a game straight from the disc, not harddrive, without uninstalling it?
firstly, barb's answer sounds like gibberish, did she even read your question? anyway, i don't understand why you would even want to do this? if it plays better from the disc (which makes no sense at all) then why don't you just uninstall it. all you have to do is wait until the game shows up (says Play Skyrim), then press Y and press Delete Game. it won't delete your save file or anything. but honestly, just leave it installed, it will put less work onto your dvd drive and prevent your laser from going bad faster. there is no reason it would run better uninstalled.

yes you can sell to any merchant in the game, just make sure they have money to trade with.
click on a item you want to sell, then at the bottom of screen select sell
Note: Some merchants only deal with certain items depends who you talk to, like some are only for weapons and armor, some only sell potions, and some only sell spells that kind of thing.

i can do everything, open every other menu, but when i open the magkia tab, the game crashes every single time, and i was able to open it before, it just recently started doing it. Make sure you're logged in to xBox live for any updates, that may resolve it.
There will be loads of bugs etc as it's a new game. Maybe you just got unlucky and have something in your inventory or something that the game does not like.corner bakery menu racing games online

Do you need to play the previous Elder Scrolls games to understand/enjoy Skyrim?
I was thinking about getting Elder Scrolls: Skyrim but I would really like to know if Elder Scrolls series has a history of confusing storylines where you need the other games to understand it. Please only answer if you've played all the Elder Scrolls games.Do you need to play the previous Elder Scrolls games to understand/enjoy Skyrim?
No you will not need to get the others to get whats going on. You can wikipedia the story lines and have a nice day. Don't stress about buying the other ones. Oblivion was fun and its a good game that will prepare you for Skyrim but then again you might just get tired of the Medieval RPG Scene by the time Skyrrim comes out if you play oblivion up until then. I played halo 3 like none stop and MW2 right before reach came out, and when it finally did I got bored of it fast. I play now but I got an overdose on FP Shooters. So in short, if you want to play an Elder Scrolls game, get Oblivion, but if you feel like you're missing out on alot of info before skyrim then just wikipedia the story lines and you'll be fine. No big dealioDo you need to play the previous Elder Scrolls games to understand/enjoy Skyrim?
Nah, not really.
You should be fine with just playing Skyrim.
I would recommend, though, that you play an Elder Scrolls game so you know you like it because Skyrim will be set up like the othersDo you need to play the previous Elder Scrolls games to understand/enjoy Skyrim?
No some people would probably play the first one to follow the plot but I have never played the ones before Elder Scrolls IV but I did enjoy it.
Understand-Maybe.Enjoy-No.

How can I play my steam game on a different computer?
My dad and I both recently bought Skyrim, and I envy the graphics he gets on his computer. So today I logged into steam on his computer under my own username, but when brought the game up it was his character not mine. Is there a way to play with my own character on his computer??How can I play my steam game on a different computer?
yeah its probably looking into the save files where the game is saved and loading dads save file and not yours. You can try to get the save files on his computer and see if it sees the file in game.

Should I play other Elder Scrolls games before Skyrim?
I want to get Skyrim but will I have to know anything about stories and lore from previous Elder Scrolls games for it to make sense?Should I play other Elder Scrolls games before Skyrim?
No, you don't have to. Each game has it's own unique story, and generally they happen many years apart. The only thing that playing the others would do is help explain nuances. For it to make sense, you don't need any knowledge of the elder scrolls whatsoever. However, you might notice little things and understand certain little phrases if you play the others that you wouldn't get of you hadn't. As for making sense, don't worry about it.
oblivion is one of the best games ever so you might want to play it for the fun but im gueesing without the sentemetal value of oblivion skyrum will be better anyway :D so just play skyrum (it better still be glitchy :P thats the only reason i played oblivion XDShould I play other Elder Scrolls games before Skyrim?
Not really, it takes place 200 years after oblivion, I personally love all them and ive read all the lore but you dont have to.
The Skryim storyline will not have any impact from Oblivion. But if you want to get use to the gameplay and controls, then get Oblivion.Should I play other Elder Scrolls games before Skyrim?
Skyrim takes place 200 years after Oblivion. While there are Daedric Shrines, there are little to no storyline ties.
aside from ever so brief mentions there isn't all that much that carries over from one game to another reference wise.

"This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time." Steam isn't letting me play my Skyrim?
^
I want to know how to fix this, with easy %26amp; clearly explained details. No if's."This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time." Steam isn't letting me play my Skyrim?
The easiest and quickest way is to probably just start the game from the executable and bypass the launcher.
Find your Skyrim install forlder and double-click on "TESV.exe" (or in Windows 7 it might be wiser to right click on it and choose "Run as administrator"."This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time." Steam isn't letting me play my Skyrim?
Download SKSE, install to your game folder, and launch the game from the skse_loader.exe.
http://skse.silverlock.org/
Don't be afraid how sketchy the website looks, it's been like that since Fallout 3 in 2008 at least and through Fallout: New Vegas to now Skyrim.
Drag all the files in the download to your main Skyrim folder, not the data folder, but the one with SkyrimLauncher.exe and TESV.exe.

Would this graphics card let me play games like mw3, bf3 and skyrim?
im getting a computer and apparently i need a graphics carp to play Skyrim, so i was wondering if this one would allow me to play these games good (as in no lag) (graphics card: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MSI-ATI-RADEON-HD6770-1GB-DDR5-128BIT-HDMI-OVERCLOCKED-/230666502902?pt=AU_Components%26amp;hash=item35b4cb82f6 )
if this one doesnt work, would someone reccomend one that would, (needs to be able to work with this computer : http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Core-i5-2400-Quad-PRO-8GB-RAM-1TB-USB3-Desktop-Computer-/280669311802?pt=AU_comp_dekstop%26amp;hash=item415931d33a )Would this graphics card let me play games like mw3, bf3 and skyrim?
That one would work just fine.
If you want to play at really high detail, I would suggest a 6870 instead of a 6770. However, the 6770 is still a fine card.
EDIT: it will play without lag. I'm playing on much worse laptop graphics (AMD 6620G) with a slow CPU, and I can play at high detail at 1366x768. A 5770 backed by that i5 can easily handle skyrim at 1080p and high detail with no lag.
However, I would suggest one of these instead.

10 points! Is Skyrim a game for me?
I don't know if Skyrim is a game for me even though I hear people saying it's awesome. I mostly play games like CoD, GTA, Red Dead Redemption, Halo Reach,Forza 4, so do you think I would like Skyrim? What are the good and bad things about the game? Thanks!10 points! Is Skyrim a game for me?
Dope
You didnt mention any RPGs you like, so im saying no. Its not that great anyway. I own it myself and i think the over-the-top hype killed the experience.10 points! Is Skyrim a game for me?
Are you my brother?
Actually, you're not my brother because you don't have Skyrim.
Well you sound just like him and my brother finished the plot in like a week so i think you should get it.
You will either love it or hate it10 points! Is Skyrim a game for me?
Yes I play all these games and enjoyed the game a ton.
Pros: Tons of different gear to choose from,Huge world to explore,Because its skyrim and rocks?
Cons: Elves are always in your house, Really Glitchy. Not that many bad things about skyrim.
Haha Skyrim's Pretty Fun To Me. My Sister Literally Cried When I Broke It On Accident (She Loves It) like She Bought It The Second It Released. I Think Unlike GTA Which Is More Action Skyrim Actually Has Other Things Than Killing, It Involves Traveling, Creating Armor, Buying Houses, Getting Married, And A Lot More. It's More Based On The Ancient Times Thought. Haha But I Find It Awesome. I Reccomend It. ^_^
No its not, its for me.
From your games that you play, Im guessing your more of a action-shooter person. If Im right, the game wont be your FAVORITE. but it could be a good buy. (im more of FPS and Action person like you. But I love the elder scrolls.) So if you're looking for a good buy. Recommend Skyrim for you.
Some of the Good things about Skyrim are You get to choose your own adventure. You get choose what to do and when you do it. You can join the imperials or the Storm cloaks. Join the thieves guild or not. Fight a Dragon or Run!
You can also choose what kind of person that you want to be. Do you want to be a swordsman or an archer? A bad guy or good guy? Dragon Killer or Bandit Slayer. Your choice.
The bad things about Skyrim are the Glitches. Sometimes when you marry someone. A dead body will some how glitch inside the chapel and then everyone blames you for killing it, the wedding ends early and you get 1000 bounty added to the town your in.
Another bad thing about Skyrim is how weak your arrows are. When you put your bow up and your arrow in it. the damage lvl in the bow and the arrow combine so say for instance you have a bow that does 6 damage and a arrow that does 10. Giving you 16 damage. and that's not alot. It is VERY hard to find a good Quality bow and arrows.
Hope this Helped
PS the "Arrow to the Knee" Jokes are from this game.

Could you play skyrim without playing the other games first?
This was a question I asked myself before starting the game, however I can confirm that the previous Elder Scrolls game has no relevance to Skyrim.
Skyrim is set two hundred years after Oblivion was was the previous game. Your main quest-line is explained clearly to you and you always understand what you are doing.
I would definitely recommend purchasing Skyrim, it is a very enjoyable game and you can easily start on this game without previously playing the others!Could you play skyrim without playing the other games first?
yes its what i have done haha.
its really fun
Yes you can. Skyrim has its own storyline, but it does have references to the older games that you may that not, because you didn't play the previous games. But these aren't story/game breaking so you should be just fine.Could you play skyrim without playing the other games first?

How will you play Skyrim?
What race will you choose? Heavy or light armor? What kind of weaponry? Will you be a vampire? Tell me how you plan to play the game. How will you play Skyrim?
Nord tank as always, they come with the best built in stat boosters and the look cool, i normally take alteration by the way because if you use a unlock 1 point spell on a 5 lock chest you still get legit exp for easy leveling later in the game. heavy armour, longswords and home made enchantments. HATE being a vamp in oblivion but it was usefull for a while. i always end up the good guy....
Imperial, light armor, blades and bows, only if vampirism is still in skyrim but it would be badass if we could be werewolves now.How will you play Skyrim?
Wood elf, light armor, archer oh yea
I'll play it how I feel at the time, I don't plan. How will you play Skyrim?

Can I jump right into Skyrim or should I play the earlier Elder Scrolls games first?
Will I understand the game if I haven't played any of the other Elder Scrolls games? Can I jump right into Skyrim or should I play the earlier Elder Scrolls games first?
each game has its own story but each game also implements some of the lore in the older games. So you won't be completely lost, but if a character makes a reference to an older game, you may not get it. Which isn't that big of a deal...
So go play SKYRIM! NOWW!!
No you will be fine. With all Elderscroll games you don't even have to play the storyline, so they don't really match up. but get oblivion anyway. classic game and dirt cheap now.Can I jump right into Skyrim or should I play the earlier Elder Scrolls games first?

I recently bought the Elder Scrolls Skyrim game for the PC and awhile I love the game so far I know there are already some pretty good mods out that I'd like to use. My trouble is that I'm just not as 'computer literate' as some. I was able to use a few while playing Oblivion like the Drake Armor which was pretty cool. Anyway, thanks in advance for your help! How do I add "Mods" to my Elder Scrolls 'Skyrim' Game (PC)?
Most mods will have instructions on how to install them. But all mods will be loaded to your "skyrim\data\" folder. Currently most of the mods make use of texture changes, so they would be placed in the "skyrim\data\textures\" folder with varying subfolders. Usually u can copy the "texture" folder of the mod directly to the "data" folder of your Skyrim install and it works fine.
When more mods are made there will be other folders and ".esp" files which will be placed in the "data" folder.

Do you need to play the previous elder scrolls to play skyrim?
i'm planning to buy skyrim cause it looks amazing as f*ck but i haven't played any other elder scroll games like oblivion and the rest of the series...so just wondering if i need to buy oblivion before skyrim?..thx in advance...Do you need to play the previous elder scrolls to play skyrim?
Nope. It's a totally new storyline, although I do recommend oblivion because it's a good game too, almost as good as skyrim
Not at all. Skyrim is like 200 years further on and in a whole new place, sure there are a few references but nothing that will take away from the experience of the game.Do you need to play the previous elder scrolls to play skyrim?
Nope, not at all. It does reference some stuff that you would only know about if you played the other Elder Scrolls games. Not important to the story line though.
Ii used to know. Until I took a arrow to the knee.Do you need to play the previous elder scrolls to play skyrim?
no

Is Skyrim the greatest game if all time?
I have been playing games since 1987, and I think it might be the best ever. Anyone agree? Is Skyrim the greatest game if all time?
That's a matter of opinion and therefore i say NO!! UNCHARTED 3 FTW!!!!
I'm still getting into it. Oblivion was (and is) one of my favourites of all time, but with work and all, I haven't really gotten into Skyrim that much yet. Though I'm pretty sure it'll light up this weekend when I have all the time in the world. Is Skyrim the greatest game if all time?
Nah. It's good but...
Partially.
Western RPG genre, maybe yes.

That honor still belongs to Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Hell to the yes.

Which game to play through today?
Wife is working all day today so have decided to play through a single player game today. I have MW3, Homefront and GOW3. have played them all online loads but not touched the single player parts yet.
So question is, which one?
Or do I just spend the day playing Skyrim? lolWhich game to play through today?
GOW3. MW3 is terrible and Homefront's ok, but GOW3 is the second best game of all time.
EDIT: ROFL, Halo 3's the greatest game of all time but it's just too outdated anymore. If they do to it what they did to Halo: CE, this: =D will be my face.
not played gow3
mw3 is ok, poorest of the trilogy tho. but if you like action, you will like it, LOTS of baddies
homefront, i didnt like this game atall, graphics are terrible, but if you like multi, then you should like game
you will get through mw and hf single players in about 8-10 hours combinedWhich game to play through today?
Is that Gears of War or God of War? If its God of War, play that.
If not, play MW3. Short enough you might beat it before the wifey comes home.
Dude do yourself a big favour and get metal gear solid 4.Best game ever made! Oh I,m married too but my wife finds me jobs to do if she,s out all day your lucky lol.Which game to play through today?

On Skyrim, how do i play with a different character/save withouth losing my first one?
So, i finished the mainquest on my main character bu now i wana try something different. i wanna try playing the game with other skills, other race but how do i do tis withouth losing my previous character? On Skyrim, how do i play with a different character/save withouth losing my first one?
Manually Save, Don't rely just on the auto save
Do a manual save, i don't play it that often on the console, so you could just open the PC console and type in "save %26lt;Name%26gt;" for a custom save, just don't overwrite it.
By the way, if you want spaces in the save name (Like "save John Doe") you'll need the quotations, if it's just "save John" you won't need them.On Skyrim, how do i play with a different character/save withouth losing my first one?
Start a new save file. It won't overwrite your current game. New autosaves will take over your old ones though, but that won't matter since you've got your first game saved on a permanent slot.
Make sure that every time you save the new game, you overwrite your last save in that slot, not your old game's slot.
I play on the PS3. Personally, I would setup another username and ID and use that user to play a different character. Then you know you won't accidentally save over your other character. On Skyrim, how do i play with a different character/save withouth losing my first one?
The odds are if you start a new character you will accidentally save over the old one and then your doomed I would just continue with the character you have until you feel like actually starting over with a new character.
Make a saved game with your main character.
Then make a new character and avoid saving on your main character.
I'm not sure but I thought I must point this out when you save Make 2 PERMANENT saves to keep from saving over one of your people.

What type of character did you play as in Skyrim?
A battlemage, a spellsword, or just a straight up warrior? Just curious about how people are playing the game. What type of character did you play as in Skyrim?
My main character is a Straight Sword and Shield Nord Warrior.
I've made other characters as well, a mage whom I need to recreate and a Kajiit assassin. I'm gonna switch it up a bit and create a Battlemage and a hunter after some of these playthroughs.
I have a roguish/assassin character, a straight up fighter and a mage (destruction school) character going at the moment. What type of character did you play as in Skyrim?
Breton-archery,one handed, smithing, destruction, sneak, and light armour.
Probably should go Dark Elf but I just can't get past how stupid he looks.
Mines a khajiit stealthy/warrior. Yea I know, heavy armor, two handed swords, and sneaking don't really go together lol. What type of character did you play as in Skyrim?
I played as an Argonian Necromancer, so I used offensive magic, conjuration, and one handed weapons.
Straight up dual-sworded Warrior Nord
Armor Rating 722 without a shield ftw!

Is it okay for a "girly-girl" to play Skyrim?
So I recently bought Skyrim. While I was in Best Buy, these guys kept looking over at me and snickering. I asked what was wrong and one of them says, "It's weird to see a girl buying a game like that." I asked why, and the same guy says, "'Cause you're all girly."
I personally see no problem with what I wear (make-up, fashionable clothing, etc.) and the games I play; but do other people feel that way?Is it okay for a "girly-girl" to play Skyrim?
It's more than okay. You know... in today's age it's rare for someone not to play video games. And a majority of gamers today are indeed girls. Girl gamers being rare is a thing of the past.
Just take a look at what Wikipedia has to say about it:
25 percent of console players and 39 percent of PC game players are women. Also, 40 percent of online game players are women; however, these numbers also include casual games.[6] According to another study conducted by the Entertainment Software Association in 2010, 40% of the game playing population is female, and women 18 or older now comprise 33% of all gamers.
Also, the percentage of women now playing online has risen to 42%, up several percent since 2004. The same study shows that 46% of game purchasers are female.
As for them snickering, they're just immature idiots. Me and most other guys think it's great for girls to play video games. In fact, we love it. Just another awesome interest to have in common.
Of course there's nothing wrong or weird with that. You're a gamer. You play whatever you want to play and buy whatever game you want to buy with your own money, what right does anyone have to say otherwise? Especially with how widely popular videogames are getting (Especially how widely popular Skyrim is), it should be of no surprise to see a "girly girl" buy a game.
Those guys must be real idiots and out of touch with reality to think that only nerdy neckbeards are accepted as the type of people to buy into Skyrim. Is it okay for a "girly-girl" to play Skyrim?
You play whatever on earth you want to play. Gaming is a multimillion pound industry - and games have moved incredibly quickly into the 21st century - gaming isn't just about penny arcades and Tetris anymore! It's all about escapism, and if that's your platform of choice, gender, clothes, size, weight, colour or any other extraneous factors shouldn't - and don't - matter
Plus, research shows Gamer Girls have way more fun in the real world... ;)
Some guys are just retarded and prejudice, and thinks that girls do not play computer, and every girl-gamer is.... I guess manly?... Well, anyways. Girls should game good games aswell, so nothing is wrong for a girly-girl to play it.Is it okay for a "girly-girl" to play Skyrim?
I absolutely love it when my girlfriend plays video games. We play TF2 together and she watches me play Skyrim all the time.
Congrats on buying skrim, and no worries those guys were prob immature. I mean arn't games supposed to be appealing to both guys and girls? Even if your a "Girly-girl" if skyrim's the kind of game you like by all mean play it.
Not at all. Those guys probably never see any real girls that don't fold out. Makes them feel like real men that you stepped into "their world." The only world were they will ever be "men" I guess.
Ignore those children. There are plenty of feminine girl gamers out there.
Yes, people feel that way. Many people's brains form conceptions early on in life, and after age 10, they can't move on or gain new perspectives or ideas. They continually suffer from what I call "Still-laughing-when-people-speak-Chines鈥?syndrome".
Nothing wrong with it at all, i think it's great that anyone who enjoys gaming and games like Skyrim (male or female) can play them regardless
I think it's awesome when girls play skyrim. Ignore those guys. Also to Jonathan, it's FUS RO DAH not FUS DO RAH.
I see nothing wrong with it ah tall'. I bet you drink Baileys as well don't ya?
You can do or play whatever you want. Its a free world and its your life. If you enjoy it then go and play it! :)

Who cares? Why wouldn't it be OK?

Is the new skyrim game a direct sequel to oblivion?
i never played oblivion, well the starting bit the tutorial then took it back to the store. just wanna get skyrim now since i finished fallout 3, i hate getting games that are a direct sequel so is skyrim following off where oblivion ended or something? Is the new skyrim game a direct sequel to oblivion?
No it's not, because it takes place 200 years after Oblivion, but Skyrim is set in the province just North of Cyrodiil, so they are still a bit related to each other. I think you should be able to start Skyrim without complications, as the storylines do not 'interweave'.
I started playing the Elder Scrolls only when Oblivion came out, and I had no trouble understanding it.
None of the elder scrolls games follow directly on, the first one I ever played was Oblivion, and I understood it all fine.
Skyrim is set 200 years after, in a different country, with totally different enemy's etc, so you will be fine.
I recommend going out and getting Oblivion though, simply because it is amazing, so is Morrowind! Is the new skyrim game a direct sequel to oblivion?
No.
Each Elder Scrolls game is a stand-alone game. This means u don't need to have any prior knowledge of previous games to play the current game.
The Elder Scrolls lore ties the games together, but it's not necessary knowledge to play the games.
And Skyrim is set in a period approx 200 years after Oblivion. But this is just incidental lore and not at all necessary to know to play Skyrim.
Nope. Each Elder Scrolls game is a different experience - but there are enough elements in common between each of them to consider them branches of the same system, sort of. It looks like a fantastic game. I'm excited to play.
~ SabrinaIs the new skyrim game a direct sequel to oblivion?
It is a direct sequel to The Elder Scrolls, but not Oblivion. Skyrim takes place 200 years after Oblivion does. Skyrim is also a Provence located north of Cyrodiil, as seen in this picture:

What is an RPG in gaming, and can you explain the new game Skyrim to me?
Does it stand for role playing game?
And what is it about this game Skyrim? Can one of you explain it to me with a little depth or detail? The mythology it's dealing with (the preview looked like Nordic Mythology or something). Is it like that or what is the plot? I've never played a game like that or the Oblivion one somebody told said in a question that Skyrim is the sequel to. So i'm lost, but considering renting or buying it.
Is it a multiplayer game, or a campaign or what?
It's not like those World of Warcraft games is it?
How big is it, or how long will it replay?
Is the story good, and what is it about?
How is the actual game play?
Thanks for reading and thanks if you can help. What is an RPG in gaming, and can you explain the new game Skyrim to me?
It's the 5th installment of The Elder Scrolls. It's probably the best RPG game ever created. It's basically Dungeons %26amp; DragonsWhat is an RPG in gaming, and can you explain the new game Skyrim to me?
Yes, it does stand for role playing game. Skyrim is the fifth installment of the Elder Scrolls series of role playing games. The best way to find out about the game itself is to go to this website: www.elderscolls.com. It isn't based on Norse Mythology. It is a Role Playing Game that can be played in first or third person. It is a single player campaign style game in which you follow a main quest line through the game, though there are plenty of side quests to go through. It is more in depth than WOW and I believe is by far better. The story is extremely thought out and extended over five games, although each game in the Elder Scrolls series has its own unique specific storyline. If it is anything like Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, there is at least 200 hours or more of game play. The game play is great. The graphics are amazing, and the world is massive. I think you might like the game. I hope this is helpful.

How good is Skyrim's story/main questline, and is it important enough to the game that I should care?
I will be playing Skyrim in spread out bits and pieces for awhile, and I'm afraid I'll lose track the main storyline in the process. Is the story important enough that I should take into consideration not starting the game until I have more time to spend with it? Or is the game too good to wait for?How good is Skyrim's story/main questline, and is it important enough to the game that I should care?
There is no answer to that question. Do what you want. The only suggestion I have is that you defeat the dragon near Whiterun early on. Getting dragon souls and using shouts can be so helpful!
No matter how strong you get, your enemies will be just as strong as you. They gain levels with you. (The only exceptions seem to be skeevers, wolves, etc.). So if you wait till you are stronger, you run the risk of allocating your perks incorrectly, and not realizing it until it is too late. However, there are so many awsome quests, that waiting to do the main quests can wait, then you can come at the enemy with epic armor and weapons.
The good thing about Skyrim is that it's really up to you how you play the game. Yes, you can completely ignore the main quest line, but I'd recommend it because the developers put lots of effort into making it, and it's one of the best things about the game! As far as the game goes, it's not really important that you finish it though. It's just up to you!How good is Skyrim's story/main questline, and is it important enough to the game that I should care?
The way the game is set up it's completely up to you. However, the main quest gives your character certain "shouts" or words of power that you wont find elsewhere in the province of Skyrim. And I would say that the main quest is magnificent! It felt as if I was playing the main character in a blockbuster movie. It has a great chance at winning game of the year.
I suggest that you start the main quest in order to get dragon shouts. After that, just do what you want. If the main quest interests you then continue it. If not, then ignore it. There are many other quests that I think are more interesting. You don't really lose track of the main quest because the next stage remains in your log and indicates what you have to do.How good is Skyrim's story/main questline, and is it important enough to the game that I should care?
I have found that, just like in real life, that you'll find yourself on a 'mission'. Somedays you'll just wanna take it easy and just have a wander around %26amp; discover new things - but in the end, you'll always end up where you're supposed to go!
Same as for all of the elder scroll games, you do what you want, when you want
If the main questline is important to you, then its important, if it isnt important to you, then it isnt
HELP! My brother won't let me play Skyrim!?
Okay, so my brother recently got the game Skyrim for christmas. After watching him play it several times, I started liking the game and I wanted to play it on my own. However when I asked him, he said that I wasn't allowed to play because it was his game. I think he doesn't want me to play because he doesn't want me to get ahead of him in the game. But I really really want to play because it seems like it's a lot of fun. I even offered to pay him $30 so that I could play. What should I do? Should I wait a little while longer and then ask him again?HELP! My brother won't let me play Skyrim!?
Well talk to him and ask him respectfully to let you use the game. Offer him some trade or something he might like or you to do for him. If the last two dont work, then tell your parents that he is being egoistic and immature.HELP! My brother won't let me play Skyrim!?
You offered him $30 then you might as well buy the game for yourself. Or if you don't have an Xbox and you share find out something that he wants and use it agains him.HELP! My brother won't let me play Skyrim!?

I have a 1080i tv but when I play skyrim it only plays at 720. I have a PS3 should I redownload the game?
720p is actually slightly better than 1080i. It's a myth that 1080i is better. Here's the proof. http://hometheater.about.com/od/blurayan鈥?/a> Enjoy the 720 and don't worry.I have a 1080i tv but when I play skyrim it only plays at 720. I have a PS3 should I redownload the game?
Of course not. 1080i is not that much of an improvement over 720p and 720p shows more lines on the screen at once.smokey bones thai recipes

Should I Buy Skyrim Even Though I Have Never Played An RPG Game?
I have never played the Elder Scrolls games or any RPG games, but i heard that Skyrim is supposed to be a great game. As a person who has never played an RPG should i get it?

What do you like to do when you play a game? Do you only like to follow quests or do you like to explore? Congrats cause Skyrim does both. I would say get it. Or if you know anyone who has it, see if you can pry their hands off the controller long enough to play an hour or two in it. Its pretty cool. I would recommend buy. However, some people are put off because its so big.Should I Buy Skyrim Even Though I Have Never Played An RPG Game?

Anyone else managed to convince a fps only gamer to play skyrim?
I have, but not the way i hoped for. He seemed to like the intro during helgan, but after that when the game slowed right down, it took a lot of convincing to get him to play it any further, but i managed to. Now that hes about 40 or so hours into the game, he's saying its definitely the best game he has ever played in his whole life. He spends all day playing it. But something i have noticed is that he flat out ignores the storyline, and pays absolutely zero attention to what anyone is saying. He keeps on skipping dialogue, and when he has to listen to 2 people talk, he's always jumping around doing stupid stuff, or casting spells at objects making them go flying around until those people are finished talking so he can continue the game.
I try to tell him that hes largely missing out on the game by doing this, and he says he does not care. It annoys me with how hes playing such a great game, but still missing out on it. Does anyone else think call of duty or some other generic shooter has really screwed with peoples way of thinking and making them like this?Anyone else managed to convince a fps only gamer to play skyrim?
Heck, if he's having fun he's having fun! You're both enjoying the game so why should it matter if he enjoys experiencing it in different ways from you?Anyone else managed to convince a fps only gamer to play skyrim?
Some FPS players may be skewed because they aren't playing for a storyline. Some COD players play just for the action, as that's why they bought the game in the first place, the gameplay that they love. Thus, they don't care much for the story, they just want to dive right into shooting people. So, when he plays Skyrim, he just wants to kill the enimies. He doesn't care for the story. That is the most exciting part of the game for him.
Although, I will not stereotype COD players and say they're all like that, cause not all of them are. Some pay attention to the story of the campaign in COD, and some also play other types of games, like RPGs, as well.Anyone else managed to convince a fps only gamer to play skyrim?
Yea, and he stopped after a minute, must have been retarded.

Is my Skyrim game erased?
Okay so, today I let me little brother create his own account on my playstation 3 so that he could play skyrim. For some reason though, after this, he decided to play under my account. He started a new game and saved that new game, but did not save it overlapping mine. Yet when you ask to load a game, it will only let you load his game. Is it possible for me to get mine back? I was already on level 50, and if I can't get it back any way, I'll seriously be pissed off. Please help!Is my Skyrim game erased?
Cool. Play it again. Is my Skyrim game erased?
Wait, he did NOT save it overlapping yours? And when you try to load it, only his shows up? Are you on your own User account? You should make sure you're on your own User first. And if you are on your user and it won't show up then, sorry but you cannot get it back :(Is my Skyrim game erased?
I am so sorry but no. I understand since that game is long as balls and going through the same quest will probably make you hate the game.

Why is my Skyrim game doing this?
I have The Elder Scrolls V(5) Skyrim and I don't have internet at home so after going out and activating it with Steam I started playing using the TESV application located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim instead of the default SkyrimLauncher application in the same folder. This started the game without Steam and made it so I can play without internet. It worked fine for a while(from 11/11/11 till now) then one day when I clicked the TESV instead of launching Skyrim like before it opened Steam and after trying to update/log on it said "Steam cannot perform this operation in offline mode" and that was it. Skyrim wouldn't start without Steam being connected to the internet. When I am connected it works fine but since I don't have internet at home that doesn't really matter. What might have caused it is that when I was online the other day Steam downloaded a Skyrim update and the next time I tried to play is when it stopped working. Can I play Skyrim without the internet anymore? Or can I uninstall that update? Thanks! Why is my Skyrim game doing this?
Bro, same situation. What you can try though is going to your TESV.exe, right click, and see if you can get the previous version. rename the patched TESV version though so when you bring the unpatched one to your folder it wont overwrite. See if that works cause it works for me.

I'm able to install other games from disks like Skyrim using Steam but there is no option to use Steam on this game from the disk? What am I doing from? How To Install A Game From Disk And Play It Without The Disk?
The first 2 answer already gave you an answer on creating virtual discs.
I just came here to correct you.
It's discs. With a "c".
Disks, spelled with "k", are permanenent storage devices like a typical Hard Drive. How To Install A Game From Disk And Play It Without The Disk?
Daemon tools will let you mount an image of the disk and make the computer think that the disk is still in the drive. It works well, and I've been using it for almost 10 years. You can read up on how to use it elsewhere because I'm not the best at explaining how to use it.How To Install A Game From Disk And Play It Without The Disk?
You will need to make a copy (iso) of the disk it requires, my favorite program for this is alcohol 120% then once you have copied that disk follow Arthur's instructions with daemon tools if all fails id recommend a no cd dvd crack for the game although a lot of the time they are virus infected hope this helped

Could I use parallels with steam so I can play pc games through Steam like skyrim?
I have a mac and I have steam and I REALLY want to play it through steam without using bootcamp.Could I use parallels with steam so I can play pc games through Steam like skyrim?
Technically, yes, but it'll look like crap and have pretty poor performance. The graphics card emulation in Paralells and Fusion aren't up to handling highly graphic games like Skyrim.

Skyrim: will i regret a choice in this game.?
Hi. Im a girl who plays skyrim, love the game by the way. Well as i was saying, i have played skyrim for while now, but i play the game pretty passive. its like when i have to make a choice in a quest, i don't know what to do, sometimes i ignore the quest, even if i dont want to! I do this because i am afraid that it will happen something bad with me later, like i will get a consequence. is this a game with choices who will have consequences later, that i will regret. Maybe, just maybe for the rest of the game.Skyrim: will i regret a choice in this game.?
if your not sure of a choice save you game in a different slot before you make the choice and you can always come back
That is why you regularly save. If you're not sure of a particular choice, you save before and see what happens.
But honestly, the only regrettable choices you'll make is if you go on a killing rampage and somehow mess up a quest.Skyrim: will i regret a choice in this game.?
Ben gives a good answer above but the joy of the game is to make a new caracjters then play a different way next time.
If you want to see the results of each choice before you make them check the links I put in sources. They are amazing and will really help you. They are by fans for fans.
Usually if you look up the quest on google it will tell you what happens if you choose what. But yeah just save your game before you do it incase you want to comeback. For example i accedentily killed the guy to start the Mehrunz Razor quest or however you spell it, and that was a loooong time ago so i just have to deal with not doing that quest.Skyrim: will i regret a choice in this game.?
In all honesty, the decisions you make rarely affect the story or your character at all. Unless you do anything particularly major. There are little to no consequences and you will have nothing to regret.suzuki samurai burger shop

Desktop computer to play Skyrim on?
hey guys i just started looking for a desktop gaming computer that i can play newer games like skyrim on, with medium settings. if you know of any cheap computers i can get please comment and let me know and post a link/tell me the price. Any help will be appreciated. thanksDesktop computer to play Skyrim on?
hello there,
well, As they always say here, "it's better to build one yourself", actually my friend they are correct bec having a custom build has many advantages : based on your budget, preference, intended use, much cheaper and can be a well balanced system intended for gaming.
Since you didn't indicated your "BUDGET" and if you want a PRE-BUILT or CUSTOM BUILT then I will just presume that you wanted a pre-built one =P
So here are my suggestions :
CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra 2098 (GU2098) Desktop PC AMD FX-Series FX-4100(3.6GHz) 8GB DDR3 500GB HDD Capacity AMD Radeon HD 6670 1GB Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit - $600
link : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as鈥?/a>
With this build you could play all games on mid settings and some on high settings (depends on resolution)
OR
CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme 1322 (GX1322) Desktop PC Intel Core i7 2600K(3.40GHz) 8GB DDR3 1TB HDD Capacity AMD Radeon HD 6850 1GB Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit - $900
link : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as鈥?/a>
With this build you can play ALL GAMES on high-max settings.
Here's a good monitor to complete it :
Acer S220HQLAbd Black 21.5" 5ms LED Backlight Widescreen LCD Monitor 250 cd/m2 ACM 100,000,000:1 (1000:1) - $130 (1080p resolution)
OR
Acer S200HLAbd Black 20" 5ms LED Backlight Widescreen LCD Monitor 250 cd/m2 ACM 100,000,000:1 (1000:1) - $100 (1600x900 resolution)
EDIT : well friend, $500 is a bit too low for a decent gaming PC, try to save a little more let's say up to $700 would do it =PDesktop computer to play Skyrim on?
what kind of price range are you looking at
Possible yes for a prebuilt PC (in the world of technology its true the the more you pay the better it is)
but many websites have prebuilts you can get that would run the game if you know how i would suggest building a PC i have one im going to put together this month that will run $800 that will run any games i should i want to play you can check for prebuilts tho by going to Newegg HP etc and then there is still good ole wallie world
Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
Processor: Dual Core 2.0GHz or equivalent processor
2GB System RAM
6GB free HDD Space
Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 512 MB of RAM
DirectX compatible sound card
those are the min specs for skyrim but things to remember most companies the prebuild overlook the PSU to cut costs and most only come with intergrated graphics from the MOBODesktop computer to play Skyrim on?
I would say that there are no gaming computers under $500, but there are some just a bit over it.
Check this computer - it will run Skyrim on med-high settings:
$500 with or without monitor and keyboard mouse? If it also include, just give up playing skyrim. Your money is only fit for day to day pc, not hard core game.

How do you play Skyrim?
I've never played a game like Skyrim before. Can someone give me some advice on how to play? Or how to use objects and such?
I've noticed that this is like a medieval version of Fallout, but even then, I never got very far in Fallout and such.
How do I use the thing at the top of my screen, I'm guessing that's the compass, to help with my quests.
The red bar at the bottom is my health which looks like it decreases both sides? And the green bar on the right side is my stamina(similar to Dead Island, as in, it runs out and I can't attack anymore)?
I chose Thief as my class thingy, is that ok? What should I focus on in this class? Or should I choose a different one?
I'd kinda like to use the bow%26amp;arrow, but not focus on it I guess.
Can someone maybe direct me to a site that could answer all my questions/future questions?
I just got told to go I think to Whiterun? I don't remember, but I saved around there.
I'm sure it'll tell me about stuff as I go, but I'd rather know ahead of time so I'm not sitting there for a while scratching my head at what I should do.
I also chose a Dark Elf as my race and again, Thief as my class. Is it too late to change classes if I don't like Thief?
I was told that I can chose to be a Werewolf or a Vampire. When/How do I become? Can I be both? What are the pros and cons?
My friend apparently has a pet fox?
Do I just kill dragons or can I tame/ride em? How do I find em so I can do whatever to em?
Thanks to anyone who helps. Sorry for all the questions :(
All of my questions being answered in one post would be very helpful :)How do you play Skyrim?
1. The thing at the top of your screen is indeed your compass. It shows you what direction you are traveling in. As you walk in different directions you will notice little icons on your compass. A black icon is a place that you haven't discovered yet, a white icon is a place that you have already been to. There are different little icons for each type of place, a keep or fort may have an icon that looks like a tower, whereas a glade may have an icon that looks like a tree.
2. Yes, the red bar is health. It depletes on both sides and when it gets to the point where there is only a tiny bit of red in the middle, that means you are nearly dead. The green bar to the right is stamina, and that tells you how much energy you have to sprint or execute power attacks and the like. The blue bar to the left is magika, that is your reserve of magic energy that you need to perform spells.
3. You don't exactly choose a class in this game. You pretty much play the way that you want to and choose perks depending on your playstyle. Every time you level up, you get a perk to spend. You can save them for a while until you've decided what skills you want to use them on. If you like thief skills, go with it, but just because you put perks in a lot of theif skills, that doesn't mean that you can't spend some of them on warrior skills too.
4. Bows and arrows are fine. But whether you choose melee or ranged, you might want to keep something else in the back of your mind for emergencies. For instance, even if you primarily fight with a bow, it might be good to keep a dagger or a sword in your inventory just in case the fighting gets up close and personal.

6. Yep, Whiterun is one of the first places you're told to go. And it's a bigger city than riverwood, so it's not a bad idea to make your way there. Explore undiscovered icons along the way, and talk to every NPC you meet.
7. You can't change your race, but like I said you can be whatever you like. Dark elves make pretty decent rogues and mages. Or you could always go for a combo of both.
8. Yes, you will have opportunities to become a werewolf or a vampire (though you can't be both at the same time). Vampirism in the game is a disease, so if you are fighting vampires and you get bitten, you may become one. (Tiny Spoiler:) The easiest way to become a werewolf is to join the fighter's guild called the Companions when you get to Whiterun. Do some of their quests and the option will come up eventually.
9. Never seen a pet fox. But there are dogs in the game that you can adopt as pets.
10. You just slay them. Don't worry, you will find lots of them. Kind of hard to miss them because you hear a loud roar and the screen starts to shake a bit.
11. There are plenty of opportunities for lockpicking. There is also a whole skill tree with perks related to it to make locks even easier to pick.
Good luck. How do you play Skyrim?
The better question is how now to play Skyrim. The game can be played however you like. You can't be both werewolf and vampire, and being vampire sucks anyway. The Dark Elf/Thief combination will work...and you're a thief, so what should you be working on to be a good thief (certainly not as much as heavy armor over sneak and pickpocket)? I would recommend using one handed and two handed weapons more than the bow unless you want to shoot from long distances and do minimal damage. You should check out the IGN wiki for any more information you want/need. And you just kill the dragons, although there is one brief moment much later on in the main quest where you ride a dragon to your destination.
Additionally, Fallout and Elder Scrolls are made by the same company, so the two game franchises are going to work pretty similar. I prefer Elder Scrolls to Fallout, but love both games. How do you play Skyrim?
I don't think you can choose a class. I chose Argonian and got all the bonuses, but never chose a class. If you're talking about stones you come across early in the game, you can go back there. I recommend archery, enchanting, smithing, and sneak. You can eliminate a lot of tough opponents and mobs at a distance that way while taking minimal damage, and attack dragons without waiting for them to land. Enchanting and smithing lets you power up your attacks and attributes(Smithing is quick since you can level up by smithing iron daggers. Don't go up too quickly as enemies scale to you level). You can train lockpicking, but I get along just fine without upgrading its perks, just so you have plenty of lockpicks.
Well your first time playing a game like this I garuntee you will make mistakes in your class focus race etc.. (I still remember my first character from Oblivion :S).
I think the easiest way for you to get familiar with the mechanics is probably to us your Dark Elf character as a melee fighter but also using a bow for certain fights when you need it. You should probably also change your star sign to the Warrior if you go down this path
Dark Elves are also good sneaky characters for lock picking and sneak attacks, but i find that is a pretty challenging role to play as your first character so try to avoid that for now.
As far as where you are/where you should go, you should probably continue with the main quest for a little longer-- go to Whiterun and see what they need etc. (I wont spoil any of it for you). But getting a few parts of that main quest out of the way is pretty beneficial. But once you feel comfortable feel free to adventure and do whatever you want. A good place to start for your type of character would be to join the Companions (they are in the upsidedown boat looking building in Whiterun). You can get some good armor and weapons from them as them.
Hope some of this helps, good luck to you.cheap flights xbox dragon age 2
