Skyrim save file deleted as soon as I started playing a new game, WHY?

I was playing Skyrim for some days now and decided I could play with a different character just for fun. I started a new game and after the first quest I went to create a new save but my original saved file was deleted and instead I had some ''AUTO Skyrim'' saves from the new game and ''Create New Save Data'' but still my original game data was deleted and nowhere to be found. I'm so pissed that I just don't know if I want to continue with this game. This is so frustrating. I was playing for no purpose at all! All the satisfaction went in vain.Skyrim save file deleted as soon as I started playing a new game, WHY?
Hey mate, sorry to hear that. The same thing happened to me this morning, there doesn't seem to be any way to recover your lost save file. I was lucky enough that I had two saves I made myself, since I keep a second save for when I am in dungeons. I still lost about twenty hours progress, which I was pretty upset about, but after hearing about what happened to you I feel a bit better. :(



Anyway, just give the game a break for awhile and come back to it whenever you've cooled down/gotten over it. Whether that's a few days or whatever. Skyrim's still a fun game, despite the bugs like this.Skyrim save file deleted as soon as I started playing a new game, WHY?
i heard that it was a bug for either the ps3 or xbox360.

i hope you don't get angry at bethesda, but they do really have a reputation for having sort of buggy games at release. bethesda games are always at its' best after receiving all the patches/DLCs it could.Skyrim save file deleted as soon as I started playing a new game, WHY?
You have to save more then once or else it will overwrite it
check your hard drive or something. its there somewhere.
