Can anyone's computer actually play the elder scrolls V Skyrim?

The elder scrolls V Skyrim has been released (hyperventilation) and without doubt the best platform to play it on is PC, but seeing the system requirements makes me wonder if anyone actually CAN play it on PC without a BEAST of a system that costs more than an average mid sized car.

So my question is, has anyone been able to play the game (not just run, I mean really play lol) on an average windows Vista/7?Can anyone's computer actually play the elder scrolls V Skyrim?
There are reasons why people pay more money for an above-average gaming machine...and it's to meet the requirements that modern games need in order to properly run. Anyone who has bought a high-end laptop in the last 6 months that has a nice dedicated GPU should be able to play Skyrim with little issue.
I don't know what you're talking about... Crysis 2 and Battlefield 3 have much stricter hardware requirements.

A fast dual-core processor and a $100 video card is enough to run Skyrim at a level that exceeds the XBox. For $600 you can easily build yourself a full tower PC that will have hardware that exceeds what's recommended for Skyrim.

If you were looking at Alienware or you base the Prices of a gaming PC off their prices then I can see your confusion. Alienware's prices are almost as bad as Apple's.

My PC's hardware more than exceeds that game... but I don't own Skyrim. Here's what you need to play the game at High settings.

Phenom II X4 945 quad-core
4gb DDR3-1333
Radeon 6770 or Nvidia GTX 550ti

My computer can run Skyrim, and it only cost $400.

AMD Phenom 2 X4 3.0Ghz

4GB DDR3 RAM

Zotac GTS 450 1Gb GDDR5

ASUS M4N68T-M V2 Motherboard

Window 7 prfessional 64 Bit

xfx 6870

DDR3 1600MHz 16Gb RAM (yeah its overkill, but how do you turn this down for $60?)

played it on highest settings

High chance of being able to play it on high with lower specsCan anyone's computer actually play the elder scrolls V Skyrim?
