Could you play skyrim without playing the other games first?

This was a question I asked myself before starting the game, however I can confirm that the previous Elder Scrolls game has no relevance to Skyrim.



Skyrim is set two hundred years after Oblivion was was the previous game. Your main quest-line is explained clearly to you and you always understand what you are doing.



I would definitely recommend purchasing Skyrim, it is a very enjoyable game and you can easily start on this game without previously playing the others!Could you play skyrim without playing the other games first?

Yes you can. Skyrim has its own storyline, but it does have references to the older games that you may that not, because you didn't play the previous games. But these aren't story/game breaking so you should be just fine.Could you play skyrim without playing the other games first?

Yes you can. The other games play no other part to Skyrim other than gameplay. They have no connection story wise.
